Is the Soccer ball guy a soccer ball in the game? I saw him yesterday at TRU, but I didn't see another normal figure I wanted to take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal...

Yeah, Kickoff Countdown is a soccer ball in game. We picked him up yesterday at TRU (they had more that 40 of them on the racks). I took my 5yo with me and let him choose the other one we got. He chose Double Trouble Series 2 from Giants.

For the dragonfly, I had "Fly Bye" and for the dolphin I had "Wave Breaker". Didn't submit any name for the Bat girl.

I like "Wave Breaker" much better than "Flip Wreck" - it fits the character design. "Fly Bye" is also much better than "High Five" - just *how* does that name even go with a dragonfly looking lizard?. I'd think something like "Bat Storm" or "Batnado" fits the Bat girl better than "Bat Spin". It would be interesting to see the names given to those by the developers.

How about "Bat Whirl" instead?

Amazon currently has Kickoff Countdown available for purchase. Regular price and no driving around... All that's left for us is Jade Fire Kraken.

Found Doom Stone and Kickoff Countdown at Toys R Us this past weekend. My son played with them about an hour and lost interest. I think we're done until the next game.

Good thing there really isn't much left.

I really wish they'd do expansion packs with new levels. Just way too many characters and nothing fun to do with them.

so i opened up swapforce for my son, as a reward for moving up in his swim class. holy shit, this game is going to be way more of a money suck than disney infinity. activision did a much better job of "requiring" more figures to open up the game. my son is content with the 3 characters he has now, but i have absolutely no doubt he's going to be begging for more characters at every chance he gets.

Didn't see it posted in the E3 thread, so will just put it here. Nintendo is creating their connected figure platform now, called Amiibo.

I don't have a WiiU so probably won't be getting into these.

The thing that's different about amiibo is that it enhances the experience, but games are not dependent on it (unlike Skylanders and Disney Infinity).

Not a lot of details yet, but the idea that they will work cross franchise (i.e. Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 10, SSBWiiU, etc.) is kinda cool.

I've been seduced by Disney Infinity. The marvel stuff was just too much for me to resist. I'm still planning on doing Trap Team but my attention is definitely going to be split this fall.

I was reading that the pre-order gets you the figure on October 5th, while the figure's normal release date (in presumably normal supply) is sometime in 2015.

We went to Toys R Us today and got 3 free sidekicks: Barkley and 2 Gill Runts. They are handing them out at each store to the first 50 customers that ask for them in the gaming/electronic department.

I wasn't even looking… And I found a Jade Fire Kraken at my local Walmart.

I guess jade is no longer a target exclusive color?
