Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I really wish they would have licensed a bunch of songs from the San Andreas soundtrack and brought them into this one.

I also think the music and radio chatter are way worse in this game than the last few. There are maybe a dozen decent songs and a handful of amusing radio bits. The selection of stations seems impressive but the content is garbage.

They could have actually done a few "retro" stations - one with all San Andreas tracks, one with Vice City tracks.

Here's an idea ; Custom Radio stations! I don't see how hard it would be to let us rip or stream our own music especially since fans have been wanting that feature for years.

Or have generic plugs where it slips in our selected tracks into already existing stations. It can be done.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

They dropped the custom soundtracks on IV after allowing them on III/VC/SA on Xbox and PC because they wanted to monetize the ZIT service that identified songs and sent them to your real-world email account via the Social Club. You can still share your songs to the Social Club and if they link to iTunes and/or Amazon (edit: it looks like the Social Club links to Spotify) I doubt they'll allow custom soundtracks any time soon.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I heard they lowball offer was them trying to make artists happy, despite having already secured the rights from the record companies.

It honestly reminds me of when Suge Knight released a Death Row records Greatest Hits CD despite everyone on it that had left (Snoop and Dre) condemning it. And if you look at the songs on that CD, Knight wasn't the producer.

I wouldn't be shocked if Daz is trying to use the game to bring some focus back on himself, since he's still trying to stay relevant, years after he was a "name."

The final icing on the cake, is his own song with Kurupt, "What Would You Do" is also on the game, yet know mention of that at all.

Finished the game, absolutely loved it... but I loved GTA:IV more. Not by much, but IV is still my favorite.

By the way the Rock station in this game is the worst since the GTA3. Most of them are, actually. Disappointing on that end.

I have had the radio volume turned off almost entirely from the start. Distracts from the game as there is nothing worth listening to.

Yeah, IV is still my favorite as well - I even think the graphics are better in a lot of spots as well.

I hate all 3 of the main protags in V - I always use Franklin because he's the closest thing to a human fucking being.

Zuh? Have you played IV recently? I have, and there's a world of difference between the two.

Not as a whole - in a lot of spots...the lost clubhouse, the clubs, some areas at night, etc....

Yes- overall V has better graphics.

Trevor is the GTA psycho we've all been pretending to be in the previous games and you know it

Not that far. I did the depository job set up, the depository job and all the remaining main missions in one sitting. I can't remember exactly how long it took me but I typically don't play more than 2/2:30 hours per sitting.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

The new patch that just released completely broke my game. Cant progress, game constantly freezes. Trying to do the assassination missions, and I cant. Any one else having this issue??

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Sheesh. I still haven't downloaded the last patch for fear of that. I have a feeling I'm just going to finish off the main story, tinker in the world for a couple more hours and then dump the thing back to Amazon or Best Buy for credit. It's a shame they've had such a clusterfuck with it.
