Mine was all included in the blimp code you get inside the game case.

You bought the special edition and didn't get one code? If that is true then I would contact Rockstar as you paid a 20 dollar premium for mostly DLC aside from the blueprint map and the steelbook case. Did you happen to buy an already opened copy?

Yes! It's annoying because I want to buy some of the stocks while doing these assassination missions.

Xbox 360

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Has anyone seen this issue pop up on their 360 before?

ALERT: GRAND THEFT AUTO V REQUIRES A ONE-TIME 8GB INSTALLATION ON THE XBOX 360 HARD DRIVE OR XBOX 360-FORMATTED USB 2.0 FLASH DRIVE.
  • Friend has an original 360 console with 20GB HDD.
  • Friend plugged in a compatible 32GB USB 2.0 flash drive, formatted it on his 360, and installed disc one onto there.
  • Install completed.
  • Friend starts games, plays with it for about an hour.
  • Exits the game.
  • Comes back to that error.
He's already reformatted both his 360 HDD and USB flash drive (again) in the process. Despite all of this, the same error keeps occurring... and he's now installing it onto the HDD.

Any fixes? He's already sent in a ticket to Rockstar.

Get the PS3 version?

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Wouldn't reformatting the drive mean he has to re-install it again? I assume he already did that, but you didn't specify...
Is the USB drive plugged into the front or back of the 360? Changing its position might make a difference...
I'm playing the 360 version, but didn't use a flash drive... just the 120gb HDD in my 360 Elite. No issues for me at all.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I installed the required install to the HDD and the game install to a flash drive in the front of the 360, no issues except for the crappy texture pop-in.

MasterofDVD 10-06-13 10:34 AM

This game sure pushes my 360 to its limits. Since getting the game my system has shut itself off a number of times and when it boots back up it gives me a message about shutting off to prevent overheating. As much as I fame and use this system this is the only game to ever cause this to happen. Between this, the loud noise my system produces while on and the inability to keep a charge on any battery pack I'm thrilled the next consoles are on close. My 360 needs a break.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

My friend's son bought this game and he wanted to show it to me. I was completely blown away. The visuals are mindbogglingly good. I don't know how they were able to put a game that looks like that on a 7 year old console...truly spectacular. I did a few missions which were fun and I immediately got immersed in the story. I then spent a half hour just riding around seeing what kind of chaos I could cause. I really can't wrap my brain around how next gen games will look if this game looks this phenomenal on current hardware. I am a PC only game right now so unfortunately I can't purchase the game, but I am glad I was able to play it.

Also, the use of the "F word" rivals the movie Scarface. I was not offended in anyway, but they went a little overboard with it. He also showed me what it was like to go to a strip joint in the game and it was insane. I didn't see what picking up a hooker looked like but if the lap dance was any indicator I am sure it is crazy.

This is definitely a game that young players should not be playing.

I agree with the statement about younger players. There is no way in hell that I would let my kids play this game or even watch me play this.

What about dream about watching you play? Don't even look at it! Don't even dream about watching me play! Infinity for you! :)

Ya thats the first thing that popped into my head when i started playing this is how the hell R* got this game so amazing looking on these old ass systems, i guess streaming it from the hd and the disc helps with things but man they had to squeeze every last ounce of power out of these systems

Really would like to hear some interviews about the making of the game

Finished the Last heist and the ending mission last night. really enjoyed it. I really wish there were some more heists though. Hoping this is what the DLC will be made up of.

Yeah, I'm really behind in the game, compared to most of you, because I can't play this game during the day while my daughters are awake. I tried a couple of times, they were in other rooms, and the missions are just too R rated

And yeah, the graphics are amazing. I can't wait for the PC mods!

Yeah, I was kind of surprised at how few heists there were
Spoiler:
and how few actually had a payout. I was so pleased that I managed to build up a few of the crew members who took the smallest cuts, but it never really ended up making much of a difference.
I did really enjoy the ones that there were, though, and I liked that you get a choice with each one how to proceed.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

It's a better deal and works out better to use an expensive crew than a cheap one. Even if you get lucky with the cheap crew and make money, there's something about a heist that goes according to plan that makes it worth it.

Thats a small complaint I have as of now, lots of these "jobs" arnt paying anything. I just finished the bank heist, and got my first bit of cash in a while

Another small complaint I noticed during the planing of that mission

Spoiler:
I blew up two military jeeps, stole a Duce and a half, killed a bunch of soliders and got no stars, yet if i give a cop the finger I get one star

It kind of depends. I still think the cheapest hacker is a no-brainer for the first heist. You only get a minute, but I still managed to clear out the place in time and he only takes something like 5%. By the third time I used him in a heist he was the most skilled and the cheapest by 10%. I guess I saw that as part of the challenge - coming up with a way to squeeze every last dime out of those jobs.

And there are a few random encounter heist members who are slightly (or drastically) cheaper and just as qualified as the rest.

The one driver -
Spoiler:
her name is something like Talia is a huge bargain at 4% and almost full skill in everything from the get-go.
