Jeez, the notifications on this are incessant! I found out how to turn them off in the options, but the notification about getting iFruit on my phone still keeps popping up, and I can't find an option to disable it.

It's surprisingly easy to max out Franklin's driving and special skills. I did taxi missions for a while, just to make some money and by the time I quit, they were both at 100%. That seems to help a bit with the control of the vehicles.

Are there any arcade games playable? I haven't come across any yet. I'm assuming there's some game apps you download onto your in game smart phone?

It's fun looking at my friends list and it showing Groucho at the strip club.

Fucking people waiting at midnight. Target and all other retailers were open selling the shit readily.

Also, is anyone having trouble getting their custom plate to actually show up? Is there some kind of magic trick that needs to be done? I had some serious issues getting the app to stay working but it's been OK for a few hours now(knock on wood) but all it ever says is "order sent" when I set the plate and customize the car but nothing ever comes of it.

My only issue is that they haven't made enough money yet to hire an Android developer. :(

How the hell do you make any money in this game?

I have not actually played it that much since i bought it, but after i did the first heist (Jewelry store) i had close to a million dollars. Seemed to get a lot of cash pretty quickly in my opinion. Done a few drug drops with Trevor and they have brought in cash. Getting money does not seem that much of a problem.

After the order is sent, you need to take the type of car it was for to a Los Santos Customs shop, pay to fix it so it's in like new condition, then choose the selection that appears letting you customize it as written in the order. After that it seems any car saved in your safehouse/garage/driveway will have the custom plate.

Maybe I'm just not doing the right missions or something? How did you do a heist? I'm like 15% into the game.

Heists come in a few more missions at your percentage.

Oh okay. I'm at the point where I go to do a mission for Lester, and he bitches about my clothes not being nice enough. Really annoying since I dumped the $5000 I had in to the stock market, so now I need to sell my shares to buy a suit I guess? Looks like suits cost $3200. That shit really annoyed me since he doesn't tell you until you drive all the way there, and then it's super vague on what is considered "nice clothes".

Weird. I don't get any selection to customize as written on the order. In the ifruit app I'm customizing the Bravado Buffalo. I change the paint colors, add the different performance parts, etc and then hit order. It says there's already a pending order and do I want to overwrite it so I say yes. It says order sent and then I drive the Buffalo to a shop and I only get the option to repair and that's only if I smash the car into something before entering the shop. Otherwise I get no option at all except to buy the parts one by one. I've tried this 5 times(with different shop locations) so far to the same result.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Maybe it's just because I haven't played much GTA, but is it usually ridiculously difficult to lose the cops? I was on the early mission at the recycling plant last night and it took me a stupid long time, twice. The first time, I was driving around for somewhere around 20 minutes. I'd get a mostly clear radar and then see cops converging from multiple directions, with no good route to avoid them. If I tried to hide, the two other dimwits in the car would start shooting as soon as the cops got within range. Finally I just drove out to the pier, ran down to the end, hopped into the ocean and swam back underneath. Lost them that way, but then I couldn't get back to aforementioned dimwits in time, so it failed the mission for me. The second time, I was driving for 5-10 minutes and felt like I just lucked into getting away. Any tips? If I don't figure it out, I can see this getting frustrating to the point of giving up on the game, as I'm sure it's a regular occurrence.

Also, in general, I'm really enjoying the atmosphere, world and story, but the gameplay just doesn't do much for me. It doesn't seem to hold a candle to open world games like Just Cause 2, Red Dead Redemption, the Saints Row series, or even stuff like Prototype or the original Crackdown.

The car with the upgrades and custom plate get delivered to your house during the game and you get a message on your phone about it.

Until then, it won't show up.

For the suit - Michael already has a suit in his wardrobe.

Franklin tried peeking into the private dancing room without paying for a dance. The bouncers immediately jumped me, so I ran out into the parking lot where they capped me in the head before I could get away. :(
