That's just being nitpicky, obviously they could have had apps ready on the same day.

Kind of worried reading about the install issues, since I have the PSN, digital, version. Hence the game will read only from the hard drive. If only they could use the cloud ;)

I hope it works fine.

I love paying for Prime when it's doing absolutely nothing for me. Amazon gave me a $15 credit for not shipping Kingdom Hearts until after the release date (despite having it on pre-order since the beginning of the year). I just shot Amazon an email, let's see what they'll do for this fuck up.

What version did you buy? Standard or SE?

The only way I can see it being an issue for someone in Vegas is if they ordered the SE. You're just way too close to their biggest distribution center for them to not be sending out the standard game from there.

The SEs, being more limited, could be shipping from further away.

I ordered the PS3 SE here in So Cal, and my order says Shipping Now, estimate still says tomorrow. Here's hoping.

As for license plates: THEKING was taken, ASSFUKR probably would have been censored (or taken). So I ended up with THESCOTT. Good enough. I put it on the classic black plates. Someone should try PEENBUTT

A lot of times the Special Editions of games don't get release day shipping guarantees. My super huge Saints Row IV box didn't. Got it that Thursday.

is the Special Edition that much better than the Standard (360)?

Depends on what you value. It comes in a steelbook, has a special blueprint map, and has some in game content as well (free guns, plane challenges, outfits, special ability booster).

It's more special. That's for damn sure.

I could barely see the difference in that.

Just give up and go play Saints Row.

Eff you, Rockstar.

I half considered the special edition, but I figured I'd be able to advance just fine without the extra in-game stuff.

Yeah, it didn't seem like a ton of content for the extra $20 compared to other recent/upcoming $80 SE's like Forza 5 or God of War Ascension.

Installing to a USB stick as an alternative.

So I guess that would mean I could do the mandatory install to my usb stick and everything should work just fine too? I have an original 360 and don't have the space on my hard drive.

I've had the hardened editions of Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3 arrive before 12PM on street date via UPS. The same applies for the Halo 4 limited edition. The fact it's shipping USPS worries me.

While Vegas has two Amazon distribution centers (Nevada will be the next state where Amazon charges sales tax starting in January), most of my orders never ship from Vegas. Hell, not even Phoenix. I've been getting stuff from the OG Amazon distribution centers, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Playing this game at home should prove to be interesting. I was watching the IGN review today in the living room and my wife heard some of the dialog from the game and gave me numerous glares since my 3 year old, and 6 month old, were in the room. Now I try not to play these types of games when my older boy in around but I'm not taking any shit from a women who screamed the F word at me and "accidentally" punched me in the face last week in front of said child. She's a pretty calm person but if I get any grief for playing this game I won't hesitate to reminder her of her recent outburst.

I think Sony does things on Pacific time.

I wish Amazon could be a little more clear with their order status. It used to be when your order was close to shipping, it would say Shipping Soon. They changed it to Shipping Now. My order has been Shipping Now for most of the day.

Ugh.

This one idiot just told another guy in line that the console's graphics will be way better than the PC's graphics if you "update your graphics card". lol! and ugh! at the same time. And the other guy claimed that he has the game pre-ordered on Steam. This line sucks!
