I joined also, but I've got it preordered for 360. I couldn't find anything in the Rockstar information on crews that specified you had to be on the same console. Is everyone else planning on picking up the PS3 version?

I suspect it'll be pretty close to a 50/50 split. I'm on 360 for what it's worth.

I'm in the crew as "Freshcrow". I don't know where that name came from, but it's from 2008. Anyway, that was for XBL, but I assume I can also associate it with PSN once I get GTA V, right?

Ask a GameStop manager who has his employees scheduled for midnight launches or the manager of a the store that has 9/17 listed in their sales circulars etc.

I don't wanna lord my crew leader status over everyone but I will say this: everyone who joins up before the game launches will automatically be promoted to lieutenant status. In other news I just realized how to promote people and I'm really excited about it.

Did anyone pre-order from Amazon?

Some users on Reddit have already stated their copies have already started to ship. My order of the 360 Collector's Edition still states "Not yet shipped."

I popped in GTA IV last night because all these leaks got me hungry for some action... man, I forgot just how bad the driving in that game was! I also hated the muddy visuals and how it seemed like the camera lens had vaseline on it. Looks like GTA V looks a lot better than IV.
