I still don't understand why America is so anti-nudity.
After the GTA: SA Hot Coffee debacle, I'm sure Rockstar treads lightly when dealing with any sexual content in their games. |

In GTA IV you could bang hookers in a convertible and all the sexual motions are captured right down to the girl wiping her chin after.

If I were a hacker and wanted to show off that I cracked the encryption, I think I'd choose a picture that didn't include a Friend notification at the top. Makes it a little harder to be identified that way.

Well, the audio has been leaked from GTA V, So far just bits and pieces of info are coming out, stuff like the soundtrack, minor characters referenced, etc. But it seems to be all the audio, both the radio stations and dialogue.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I just wish that Rockstar would say "Enough of this shit!" and release the game early. There are a few million people that I don't think would mind.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
On DTOID show last night Tara and Max were talking about how GTA V being on current gen consoles and brought up a good point that when SA came out it was close to the end of PS2 gen and it became the biggest selling PS2 game. So I guess it makes sense to release this on current Gen.

It's just that, as a gamer, you're going to be a little disappointed if you're excited about getting a new console at launch and this game won't take advantage of it. |

It's a little different launching 2 months before the new consoles come out. But you also have to remember, this game was supposed to come out in March, but got delayed (I'm guessing due to development of GTA Online). I do think we'll see a next gen release. If GTA Online is as massive as they're billing, there's no way they pass up that opportunity. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I didn't realize the music being out there would be such a big deal, or much in terms of spoilers. Sony pulled the pre-release content and apologized though.
And yeah, I guessed earlier that the way Rockstar is calling GTA Online as somewhat separate from GTAV that we'll see at least that portion of the game on next-gen. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I dont think making this game a "last blast" of this generation will hurt sales of the game much, but it'll probably kill sales of DLC down the road, if they have any planned. I cant imagine wanting to buy 360 DLC six months from now.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Adding on DLC to an upgraded PS3/360 version would be a good way to sell copies to next-gen adopters 6 months to a year down the road.

One thing they could do is make it if you buy the DLC on current gen, you get it free on next gen. That would be a good way to hedge bets. |

I'm sure they won't allow a cross-system cross-buy |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Haven't played any games in a couple years, but plan on dusting off the controller for this...question is, which controller? I no longer have Xbox Live Gold, so I'd probably end up getting that if I got it for the 360 (for online, if it ends up being as cool as it potentially could be...), plus I've always preferred the 360 controller. But after a couple years away, it might be just as easy to grab it for the PS3 and it's single disc and no Live expense?
They claim it'll be identical on both systems I believe? |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
There are controllers you can buy that have similar design from the 360 controller. There's also a controller convertor you can buy that allows you to use a 360 controller on the ps3. The only downside being it has to be wired.

They claim it'll be identical on both systems I believe? There might be more players on the 360 side, which can be either an advantage or a drawback. Since it'll cost you an extra $20-$40 (or more) for Live, ask yourself if that is worth it for one game. For what its worth, I'm getting it on PS3, and I had a great experience with Red Dead Redemption online, which is almost a beta for GTA Online. Great community for that game on the PS3, and I imagine it'll be the same for GTA V. |

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
yummy.
Rockstar knows how to do a trailer. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Yeah I think I'll just get for PS3 to save a couple headaches. I imagine after not using either controller for a couple years it won't seem like a big deal using the PS controller. Plus I played every GTA game prior to IV on Playstations, so I think I'll survive. :p
Looking forward to it! |
