For "Open Wide", I just kept traveling back and forth to places that had lots of skags. They're always right up in your face.

Beat it today in my first run, had about 20 hours in the first play through at level 31. After that I got up to 35 in about an hour. End boss dropped an orange sniper that doesn't seem the best. Still the best thing I've got was a level 31 rocket launcher with 6 in the clip that gets about 16k damage per shot. Playing over again now, just quit when we got to the sanctuary. Hopefully I can get a few golden keys this weekend.

Finished in 20 hours? Wow. I'm nearing 60 hours(according to Raptr), @ level 30 and still not done.

Just went for the main story line for the most part. Had to take a break around the giant robot guy for a few hours to keep up with the game. Played mostly a few levels below my enemies with a friend. We will probably try more side missions this run if we have time before blops 2.

I'm finding assault rifles really lacking in this game. It's a bummer since I play as a commando and there are some class mods specific to that gun class. SMGs seem much better.

I sort of agree. Well, at least the ones that I want to use. I hate weapons where you have to push the trigger repeatedly to fire. I want fully auto. The ones that are single shot rifles all seem to do more damage and have better accuracy, but I don't want that crap.

2 of my best weapons were ARs, but both basically fired continually, one with Slag, the other with Shock. I still use the slag one and I think it's maybe 9 levels behind me.

I plan to transfer that one when I do a gunzerker build.

I still use SMGs a lot, but haven't found one I've really liked.

yeah on new game plus it is not going to be as good, but the special power of that weapon is that the fire spreads to all enemies around the target..but at level 35 you are probably seeing 4000 or more damage snipers...

I thought the same thing until I discovered



the key is to find one that has at least 3.7 fire rate, and only uses one bullet at a time. They have different names, but all will be torgue weapons..

I wonder why the high powered/non-elemental ARs are worth so much more than other weapon types? Do you guys have the same experience?

I would have to see the stats, but I do know some non elemental weapons have huge advantages over the elemental version...how steady they fire....how fast the bullet travels...

Yeah, I should probably be testing more of them out. But they are just heads and tails more expensive. Like going for 15-30,000 for me for greens/whites when my purples and blues are rarely 10,000. This is with a level range in the late 30s. The Damage is always about 2-3x more than the elemental varieties.

It was good at the start of the new game, but not overpowered. The rocket launcher I have was instakill on everything up until I got back to sanctuary and still gets most badasses down in 3 or 4 hits. I think it's just that I leveled up 5 levels in a few hours play time and never got much use out of the weapon. Oh well, I'm sure I will find some much better loot, you always do.

On the same topic of bad weapons, I used 2 golden keys at level 36 and got underpowered pistols and really bad relics. Hoping this weekends keys go better.

We played a great deal of the Pirate DLC last night (my Maya at Level 35) in normal mode and it was fun. Pretty much all the enemies came in aroun 28-30 as did all the weapon drops and chests which didn't thrill me much. You do gt a few special weapons (A.k.a Moxxie) from doing missions that may come in handy if you're level 35 and under. Didn't see but a few blue, plenty of white & green drops and about three purple. Lots and lots of mods, shield and grenade drops but again all in the 28-30 range.

One thing for a fact...when it gets dark it gets dark in there. For some reason it seemed darker there than everywhere else. good visuals and the layout is good. Much like everywhere else. More in a round fashion than long wise. Love the "Hover Boats"...a blast to just move around in. We'll jump in again tonight. i'll be curious as to how this does in TVH Mode.
