Okay. I'm about to quit about of this game against PSU. I've had five holding penalties and a clip in one quarter.

I don't think the penalties are caused by EA. I have an offline dynasty with the default sliders and I never get that many penalties. I think it is our sliders.

Maybe we should put the dynasty on hold until the game is fixed. My season is pretty much over with that loss. WVU could not afford to lose a single game and still have a shot at the title. It is not really worth the time that we are putting into the dynasty if the games that we play do not count.

I haven't had the problems with penalties that others have had. I've only gotten called on a couple holding penalties but I can justify those because I rolled out of the pockettoo early. I've also had a bunch o interceptions on me but I throw a lot so I expect those as well.

My holding penalties were all on standard run plays. 12 in the first half. They cost me at least 13 points... I bailed.

Do I need to retire or something from the dynasty or just stop showing up? I'm done, but I want to make it easy on you guys in dealing with my exit.

I locked in my trade in value for NCAA 12 for $32. I'll just focus on Madden 12, if this game gets fixed and such, maybe I'll pick it up around Black Friday if its on the cheap.

@ Flip - I adjusted the sliders last night. I dropped holding, clipping and facemask penalties to 50 (default). If you play that game now it should be better. realize though when you are on the road in a loud environment your players are more likely to commit penalties.

@ Lost fan -you are more than welcome to come back at a later time. I set your team to auto pilot and I will drop you out this week - You don't have to do anything.

@ sauce - as far as interceptions go - I cut down on them by putting a little more touch on my passes.

I get that I'll be more likely to commit penalties... but for all that is holy I shouldn't have to pass every play just so I'm not getting called for holding. Literally... 90% of my running plays... ALL up the middle or off-tackle... resulted in holding penalties. So, of course, every third and short I ran... up the middle... gained ten. WOOP. Holding. I had three holding penalties called in a row. It's very hard to compete... and I was only down by 4 having led most of the game... when I was facing 2nd and 26 with almost clockwork regularity. 12 holding calls (nevermind all the clips) in a half is just not reasonable by any stretch of the homefield advantage.

i had the same problem against PSU and then TCU this week, i had a drive that was like 140 yrds long, because of all the holding and clipping calls...

looks like madden is having server issues too. EA is disappointing.

Does anyone else feel like they are just wasting time and treading water with recruiting? I could have sworn I was further along with a couple of my recruits.

I have to look up and see when it was they were saying they were going to have a patch out for NCAA. Does anyone else other than nic think we should set aside the Dynasty until a patch comes out? I'd hate for this to sit for those that picked it up this year for the first time. I wish we could go back to NCAA11 but EA shuts the servers off for the previous installment once the new version comes out. (It wasn't working for me when I checked a couple of weeks ago)

Don't forget : I'd like everyone who is left in the Dynasty to try something. Everyone needs to delete the Dynasty file from the PS3 hard drive and then jump into into the Dynasty and update it from the server. Everyone should try this before you get the recruiting or games done. Apparently doing this has cleared some other glitches people were experiencing. I figure that and consulting a voodoo witch doctor could help us out.

I deleted my game file on the PS3 before I tried to play clutch and grab with PSU on Monday. I'll give the new sliders a go this afternoon.

I thought they kept them going for a few years. I read when I got my PS3 in late Feb that they had just closed the servers for NCAA 09 (I had gotten it at Kmart for $5 and was looking to get rosters).

Alright I now understand why everyone has been complaining about penalties, I've been screaming at my tv for the last hour. It seemed like every play I had either a holding or roughing the passer penalty, including 2 on 4th down and an interception that was called back. In total, I had 17 penalties for 215 yards. Something is broken.

Pretty much this whole game minus the graphics and sound.

how did everyone's games go this week? i noticed the servers were down for a while, hopefully fixing issues...

I also noticed my schedule changed and we have a new person as Oregon. I had been half-done with recruiting but now have barely touched and have to re-schedule all of my visits since I no longer have Oklahoma at 'home' this coming week.

How could your schedule have changed?

I think mine went through just fine. It gave me an error when it tried to carry over the highlights but it allowed me to try again... and it seemed to work. Everything seemed normal anyway.
