Sorry about the late annoncement but, in case you did not realize it, Week 4 is ready to go. I will advance next Monday night @ midnight. get your stuff done before then.

I'm going to go ahead and unfortunately have to drop from the league. Both of my games against other players have had to eventually be simmed, and when we have attempted to play, it has been a horrible lag fest. That's no fun for anyone involved. My internet in it's current state is just too spotty and shitty to be relied upon, and at this time I cannot hard wire my connection. I'm really sorry, but I think this is best for the league.

If you can, I really suggest hardwiring your PS3. Give that a shot before quitting.

I'm going to auto-pilot my way through the season. After dealing with disconnects and such it just isn't worth my effort and time to recruit just to be shafted half of the time during the games. Besides, I have really been working a lot of my single player games and trying to finish them 100%.

This sucks - I personally think that EA's server connection for NCAA12 are really unstable compared to last year's.
@ Gloomy Pickle -sorry to see you go - hardwiring may help.

@ GatorShea - long as you try the head to head stuff at least.

I'm still riding it out. Just know if you play me head to head and things get messed up, its not me quitting on purpose or anything.

I think I have a ranked opponent this week, in Texas A&M. Better have more defense show up than did vs. Baylor.

so I played my first game against a computer opponent this season. I won 38-24, but I got disconnected from the ea servers after the game, so no stats for me this week. I also had 13 penalties for 165 yards. Penn State had 9 for 118. Very frustrating and not much fun. I spent the entire game yelling at my tv. I even had a hail mary at the end of the first half called back because of a clipping penalty.

yeah, that happened to me last week, and it doesn't look like it recorded my stats from the game, because my RB still only has ~450 yards and he had over 200 every week for 3 weeks.

Same thing happened to me last night, I guess the 425 yards my QB put up won't be recorded.

Are the penalties mainly clipping and holding? And is everyone else seeing it? And is it on the road or at home?

Once again EA's server connection is total crap.

@ Lostfan -got your messages this morning ( I really wasn't on last night was doing a system transfer) I feel really bad that somehow you got screwed out of your win. I remember you posting you had won but when I wnet to advance the week The advance buton told me 8/11 people were complete. When I looked to see who wasn't done it told me 10/11 were finished and the one who wasn't done was Flipperbaby. once I saw that and the time (1130 PM) I advanced. I even talked to Flhype the other day and he told me you had one win and I thought you had none. Like I've been saying EA's servers are reallly unstable it seems. I hope you beat the shit out of TAMU to make up for the losses.

I smoked #4Texas A&M last night, 35-13 (he got a late td with under a minute left), then when I was closing out, I got the system transfer error AGAIN. Retrying doesn't do crap. I had this when I beat Baylor and it showed my game (so I can't play it again, and I thought it counted), but then my game got simmed. I'm guessing this will happen again and I'll lose my victory over TAM.

Last night, before my game I said I was riding this out, but now I'm not so sure. If my game doesn't save correctly this week, I may be done. I mean, I can't finish a game head to head, and if I can't even get my games vs. the CPU to count, no one would notice if I was in the league or not because nothing I do makes a difference, it sucks.

I think I had 27 total penalties in my game last night. I was at home and had 15 or so and TAM had 12 I believe. clipping, holding, facemask, and roughing the qb. Both TAM and OREGON lost INTS from penalties.

On one drive I stopped TAM on my 36 on 4th down, but got a 15 yard facemask so he went to my 21 yard line. Then he had 3 consecutive holding penalties and backed up to the 51 yard line. It was insane, the games are going so slow from all the penalties. Some I get, if you break off a run a different direction, that's realistic, but some are when you are going exactly how the play is drawn up. Crazy.

I'm hoping things work out, but I'm not optimistic since my game did what it did after Baylor and that got messed up even though it shows its correct. I hate to quit, but its unnecessary frustration when nothing I do counts at all and everything is simmed.

If EA's servers are like this for Madden, I'll be even more pissed. Can't they do anything right?
