Mario 3- I remember how happy i was, i ran into my parents bedroom and had to tell them right away "I beat mario!" I think i was around 9 or 10

At the arcade:

TMNT 2- I was on vacation on mackinac island and me and my sister kept pumping quarters into the machine till we beat it. I think we spent $50 total 20 of which was used on the shredder clone boss

Probably Atari 2600 Adventure. That's the first one I can remember that had an ending.

Mark me down for "Adventure" on the 2600 as well as my first memory of beating a game.

Although I played a ton of NES, I was too young to really beat the games, so the first game I beat was Captain America and the Avengers for the arcade. First console game I ever beat was Ecco The Dolphin.

The cool thing about arcade games is that you just need some skill but mostly tons of tokens; it was much easier to beat and enjoyable to play games like X-Men, GI Joe, or SpiderMan.

I think for me it was Ninja Gaiden on the NES. Man, that game was tough. I also beat the Contra games around the same time, but I'm pretty sure it was with the famous 30 lives code.

Another "Adventure" post for the Atari 2600.

Final Fantasy 2 and I video taped the end for my then husband, so he could see.

My first thought was, "how the hell do you expect me to remember something like that?" But now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it was Super Mario Bros. The Atari games I had played before never had an end that I saw, except maybe that Raiders of the Lost Ark that I never figured out anyway. And since I got SMB with the system at launch, and other early games like Ghosts 'N Goblins were really hard or didn't have a formal ending, all signs point to it being SMB.

However, I did not beat Duck Hunt, unlike Gryffinmaster.

Most likely some Atari 2600 game 30 plus years ago. Who knows which one, I'm an old fart gamer.

Hard to say. Probably one of these two:

Miner 2049er (Atari 400) - the manual said the game was unbeatable. I remember it being hard as fuck and taking a long time to master it, but finally conquered it.


Joust (Atari 400) - doesn't really end, but I did make it to around wave 260+ before I got bored and quit.

Adventure....on a computer...Colossal Cave Adventure I think the full name was...

Pretty sure it was Smurfs: Rescue from Gargamel's Castle on ColecoVision. After that, either Super Mario Bros. or Contra.

Either SMB or Mike Tyson's Punchout

Not sure if I beat Adventure before that, or only watched my older brothers do it.

The later being one of my all time greatest achievements.
