No idea, but probably Super Mario Bros.

It was probably Super Mario Bros here also but it could have also been Zelda. Honestly, I got SMB with the system and Zelda was purchased shortly after. I miss those days.

I can't remember for sure but my guess would be Duck Tales on NES. My parents had a ColecoVision but I don't think any of those games had actual endings.

Console: Like many others, it has to be Adventure on the Atari 2600.
Computer: Wizardry. In the early 80s, my family got an Apple 2c. Wizardry wasn't the first game I played (that was probably Zork or Ultima). But it was the first one I beat. I remember how proud I was of beating it without any outside help (this was way before the easy days of looking up walkthroughs on the internet). There was no automap, and I filled reams of graph paper. My heart raced when I finally found the entrance the lair of Werdna the wizard and there was a sign with the message: "The wizard is IN"
Arcade: Arkanoid. Yeah, it took more than one quarter ... but I finally took down the big DOH head and won the game. I remember having a little crowd around me because many hadn't seen the last stage of the game before. Oh, the pressure!

I think it was Underwurlde on the Sinclair Spectrum. Arcade wise i guess maybe the original Star Wars arcade game....but that was a game anyone could complete. The first to test me was Kung Fu Master. That son-of-a-bitch hunchback on the 4th floor always gave me problems.

Super Mario Bros. for me too. Legend of Zelda was the second one.
I played a ton of Colecovision games back in the day but dont recall any of them having an ending. Never had an atari.
