At one point you two were sitting by a flag, four guys come riding up and I sniped three of them from a few yards away. I was also defending the shit out of that B objective sniping people who were trying to capture it. Also, multiple tanks were C4'd; fun all around. Looking forward to next Friday.

And yes, Vong, get Warhawk. :D

:D
It was just funny because me and friz would be running to an objective and you were running up the hillside. I get the point of it. I just like being in the middle of it.

I'll check it out (Warhawk) :D

That's our Slider.

At least once or twice I was wrong about where you were, Slider, but most of the time you were wasting your energy. Holding B on that map is worthless if the other team is allowed to hold the other 3. Also, by camping at B, and with 3 of us on the team, you take away one of the two teammates that I can [want to] spawn on. Basically, you painted us into a corner at B.

On Harvest Day, the basic strategy is: hold A or D (depending on which side you're on, fight over C, and then press on A or D when you take C. You should only go after B when you hold all of the other 3, and even then it's not really smart since it's so easy to defend from that hillside and so easy to take the bases behind us from either home base.

http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...yConquest2.jpg

It's cool that you want to snipe people who are converging on us, but I'd much rather you were doing it by my side, helping me move the flags faster. With 2 of us on the flag, it moved slow, and we'd often have to fight off 2-3 waves of dudes.

Still awesome awesome times...just wanted to explain my frustration. :)

Did you guys select Peer-to-Peer download or HTTP download for the update? I just popped the disc into my new Slim about thirty minutes ago and it's done, I'm guessing because I selected HTTP rather than P2P. I remember the first time I had to download these updates and they took what seemed like hours, but this was relatively painless.

I hope you can make it, Nic. Their version of Capture the Flag is really neat.

I hope someone here is able to host, because right now there are only two rooms not using the expansion packs and they both have glitchers. :(

Edit: Now there's no available games for people without the DLC. :( Disappointing.

Seeing as how it's only three or four, it might just be better to wait for a day when you can make it.

It looks like I could probably host, but I've never played MGS4 online-- so I'd have no idea what sorts of games to set up or in what locations. But it let me go so far as starting my own game with the defaults-- so it looks like I have the necessary "pipes."

Sounds good. I've never gone through the hosting setup, but the way I think it works is you set up numerous matches. I think if you make Death Matches and Team Sneak matches on each map it would be fine. Just pick whatever setting you think would be fun.

Should be on maybe 5-10 minutes after 9. I'll give it a shot, but can't make promises. And-- if it fails-- there's always bfbc2.

Amen. If Cruz and Nic aren't on at 9:30 we can hop in BFBC2 and table MGO for another night. I just have to finish a few things up here and I'll be on in about ten minutes.

Metal Gear Online was a lot of fun. I was sad that we decided to skip Team Sneaking as that is the mode I think is the most fun. The controls take a lot of getting used to, but if we play it a few more times then it should become second nature. What did you guys think of the weapons/maps/whatnot?

It really is a shame. I think there needs to be a balance of races and challenges to keep things interesting for everyone. It was me and ogsoley in a pub room messin around and then we went private and we were knocking out 2 player challenges (20 or so) before calling it a night. Thanks OG for coming out!!!

More of you guys need to get hooked up with a Gamefly account - that way we could plan ahead on what people should rent. (I have a surefire way to get new games on the release day that always works.)

You need to save your pennies for Brink - that game is gonna be awesome. (May 17th - headset not required apparently - Weekend Confirmed podcast mentioned that as you accept missions it will send voice chat for you - I immediately thought of Slider)

Monday and Wednesday night it is. I hadn't made a definitive list of games to be rotated yet. I was just trying out different games (new and old) to try to mix things up. So far I have posted:
Modern Warfare 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Killzone 3
Burnout Paradise

I have not gotten to some of the games played in the original rotation:
Spoiler:
BioShock 2
Red Dead Redemption
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Resistance 2
Uncharted 2

There are also games owned by DVDTalkers not in original rotation that i would be willing to try out:
Spoiler:
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Battlefield 1943
Borderlands
Call of Duty 4
GTA
LittleBig Planet
Modnation Racers
Transformers: War for Cybertron

I'd be willing to throw up more games as people request them but I have avoided throwing up a poll.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has claimed the Friday night spot as the number of DVDTalkers and regulars who own it has grown (they also play occassionally on other nights as this is frizby's latest obsession) Check the Battlefield Talk thread for more info.

That's some funny stuff right there.
