Re: Dead Island
I think that trailer would be better served leading to a movie than a game. Sounds too much like Dead Rising 3. Still, it was very moving seeing the parents interaction with the little girl. Having a daughter, that was difficult to watch and imagine.

Re: Dead Island
I thought this was going to be a lame, jokey thing when I clicked on the thread, but that is brilliant. I don't even care about the game. The trailer is a standalone piece of genius.

Re: Dead Island
Amazing trailer. Even if the game turns out to be crap, that video was something I'll remember for a long time.

Some Screenshots
Quote from IGN: "The publisher describes Dead Island as dark, twisted and gritty, and the tiny sliver I've seen seems to support those claims. This is not the campy world of Dead Rising."

Re: Dead Island
God i hope this is the zombie game I've been hoping for. Resident Evil 1-3 were amazing but (and i know I'm in the minority here) I've hated every game since them, especially 4 and beyond. Dead Rising was interesting but the timing aspect killed it for me. Left for Dead was incredibly lame so I never got into it. I just hope this has great gameplay to go along with a great story. The rpg thing makes me kinda skeptical though.

Someone made a chronological cut:

Re: Dead Island
It works a lot better in the original format. This re-edit kills a lot of the emotional impact. The song choice is pretty funny for a zombie game, considering the source most of us know that song from.
The original trailer is SO good, but I feel it's done the game a disservice. I doubt the game will be able to come close to either the emotional or artistic content of that clip. We'll see, I guess.

Yeah, it's the song used in the final minutes of Six Feet Under that many believe is one of the greatest and most touching series finals ever. Don't want to ruin it, but seeing zombie hordes makes for an amusing contrast.

Loved the trailer. Watched it twice and it was even better than the first time around. The chronological trailer loses it's punch as some as said though.
So, any idea what music that is on the original trailer?

Re: Dead Island
People above are saying it's from the last episode of Six Feet Under... but does anyone know the artist/track name?
