Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

I was hoping to finish God of war 2 by the end of the month but this game is longer than i expected. I've clogged in close to 12 hours so far and have a few more levels to go. Hoping to get more games in for March.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

I've been sucked into a Rock Band-Halo-CoD funk and can't get out of it. Very unusual for me to not be finishing other games.

I'm having hard time finishing games this year but I'm also not playing as much. I usually only play during the weekend and holidays/vacation.

I'd been having the same problem, Halo: Reach was taking up all my gaming time. Dragon Age II has pulled me out, we'll see what happens when I'm done with that though.

Maybe you people should spend more time playing your games rather than blogging about not playing games.

If you posted while at work, you're off the hook.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

Who's writing a blog about not playing the games? I personally just wrote one post about it.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

Ok, cool. You can blog just one post, especially if you hide multiple posts by editing

I see these threads every year and I almost post but then I realize I don't care about my own report card. Then I go play my games.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

Finished my first big game of the year(and another reason why nothing else was getting played):

That is a grand total of... drumroll please... 2,966* games of Zuma. At an average(just a guess) of 1:30 per game that works out to about 49 hours of Zuma.

*not including the dozen plus games that froze up on me.

Wow, really? I thought it was pretty easy up until the final handful objectives.

Some racing games I just can't wrap my head around. By that I just mean that in some, like Need For Speed, I do quite well. In others, like Split/Second, I'm just constantly crashing and screwing up.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

I took a long break from focusing on gaming to build my blu-ray collection, but have just started to get back in the swing of things in the last couple months. So, I figure maybe listing this will help me try and crack down on finishing more games. Sadly, I've already got intentions to pick up Back to the Future, Scott Pilgrim and Pac-man in the PSN summer sale, so this list is probably only going to get worse.

Finished*

NBA Jam
Vanquish
Heavy Rain
Batman: Arkham Asylum
TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-shelled
Dead Rising 2
Red Dead Redemption

Backlog (all PS3):

Assassin's Creed II
Back to the Future: The Game
Beyond Good & Evil HD
Bionic Commando: Rearmed
Borderlands
Brutal Legend
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Costume Quest
Dead Nation
Dead Space
Dead Space 2
Devil May Cry 4
Dragon Age Origins
Fallout 3
Fallout: New Vegas
Final Fantasy XIII
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
God of War Collection
God of War III
Grand Theft Auto IV
Infamous
Killzone 2
Lego Batman
Little Big Planet
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Mass Effect 2
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
Saints' Row 2
Scott Pilgrim: The Video Game
Soul Calibur IV
Super Street Fighter IV
Tekken 6
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

*Note that for the purposes of this list, finishing is completing the story mode, not getting platinum/100%, etc. Unfortunately, due to work and family, my game time is usually just a couple hours a night at best. So, I try to see the story and move on to the next thing.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

I finally cracked open Dead Rising 2. Did Case Zero last week and plowed through DR2 in about 4 days. Of course achievement hunting in this one will take a loooooong ass time.

I also "prestiged" in Zuma Blitz on Facebook and have worked my way back up to level 60 again.

I feel kinda sad that my only game in July i finished was feeding frenzy 2. I may get done with Splosion Man but that final boss keeps pissing me off

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

Just finished this today after one week. Bought it based on some friends an reviews. Far exceeded my expectations. Good visuals, good audio, solid voice work and just overall good gameplay. For $13 well worth it...

It really doesn't take that long if you're using a guide to the individual goals such as posters or novelty weapons. The only painful one is the 72,000 kills, which take an entire playthrough of doing nothing but driving back and forth in a loop. And to make matters worse it has no reward, unlike DR1 with its amazing Mega-Buster. The multiplayer achievements are also extremely annoying, but I hold that opinion about all multiplayer achievements ever, so maybe that's just me.

If I still had the game I'd offer to do co-op with you because I enjoyed it so much, but unfortunately I sold it to Amazon after finishing. I do that with plenty of games, but I regret it with this one now.

Re: Definitive Finished/Unfinished Report Card Thread 2011

Hands off! Corvin is mine. I need to do coop on that one too. Hell, I need to finish the game I stopped in October 2010 when RB3 came out.

Since I don't even have the game anymore, I'll allow it.
