Well here I go again. Ordered The Show just like I knew I would.

...I feel so dirty.

I really like that RTTS seems easier to progress through, since you no longer have to wait for situations to earn points as a position player. Now every AB is judged on quality, and you can go 1-4 and still rack up some decent points. Plus training is a bit more detailed, and I feel like I'm learning how to be more patient at the plate.

But, yeah, the frigging load times.

Here's another thing I noticed:

When I steal second in RTTS I'm not sliding I just run straight through the base. I have the slide option on assist. Other points have my guy sliding like running to home plate. Strange.

It looks like Modell's took The Show off their website. I get a 404 when clicking on that link.

Yeah, you have to let up on the stick before you get to the base to slide. If not, you go in standing and possibly overshoot.

Also, on the camera in RTTS to look around when you're on base, I believe this year you have to hold L2 while you move the stick.

Ran into my first glitch yesterday. I was managing my bullpen while my team was on offense. I moved some guys around and when I was ready to exit the menu I got a message saying "You need to remove Jonathan Papelbon from the game"... I was the Yankees, playing against the Red Sox. The game wouldn't let me go back to the main menu so I had to restart the game.

Fuck... You've got to be kidding me?

^Yep, I've played through 5 games and this already happened. Very annoying considering that it was the 8th inning of a close game and I had already invested a good amount of time playing. I also lost about 3 weeks worth of simulated games in my franchise.

I don't know how common it is, maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones where it happened right away but I hope it gets fixed with an update sooner rather then later.

Sounds awefully similar to last years bullpen freeze bug (happenning late in the game like that), hopefully they actually address it this year instead of leaving it unfixed like last year.
Did you access your bullpen by pressing start, or did you do the quick access with up on the D pad?

I pressed start and went that way.

I don't know if it is the same exact bug so it may not fix the problem, but always use up on the D-Pad to access your bullpen anyway just to be safe. Last year you could get the dreaded bullpen freeze by going to your bullpen through the start menu.

Do you guys have an audio glitch with the San Diego Studios logo when it pops up at the start of the game? Every time I turn it on, the audio stutters like crazy until the image appears. Seems kind of odd that they would let that slip through, unless it's something wrong with my setup.

Question/request for those of you that picked up the game already. Is there an online franchise option that can be a combination of users and cpu controlled teams?

Some friends and I are dying to have an MLB franchise online, but we can't figure out if it's possible on The Show or MLB2k11.

I got so close to beating the Dodgers on Legend mode last night for that trophy. I held them to zero runs the whole game, but at their final at bat they got four guys home which beat me by one.

So what orders does Modell's actually fulfill? Rat bastards sent me a cancellation as well.

Pretty lame excuse to cancel the order. It's not like they can't get more copies.

Well I'm never doing business with them again. They offered me a 40% off on a new order because of this screw up, and the one thing I'm interested in (an authentic Astros cap...yes we suck, I know) is excluded from the promotional coupon.
