Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Nice news on the legendary levels. That'll give me an excuse to jump back in.
Hopefully they'll patch/update Hearthfire next so the Jarl of Falkreath will let me build a house there, even though I killed his housecarl what seems like a lifetime ago (let it go, dude). |

Moving to our next adventure
Skyrim has been a labor of love for us since we started designing it in 2006. We never imagined it would become the phenomenon it has. And that is because of you, the fans. It was all of you who made it a success. We can’t thank you enough for embracing the game, spreading the word, and making it your own. For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet. Even though we’re moving on, we’ll still have minor updates to Skyrim as needed. We’ve invested so much of ourselves into Skyrim and will never truly say goodbye to it. We loved hearing your stories, your in-game triumphs, and your suggestions. One thing stuck out to us through those emails, letters, and postings. And that is – video games matter. They’re as important to you as they are to us. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s about your time. And you chose to spend it with our game. Thank you again for all your support. We hope you stay engaged in the gaming community here and elsewhere. Keep spreading the word. Games are the world’s best entertainment because they can do what other forms cannot – fill you with the wonder of exploration and the pride of accomplishment. We look forward to sharing our next adventure with you. Until next time, Bethesda Game Studios |

Good. Now maybe the Game of the Year edition will be scheduled for the near future so I can catch up on all the DLC.

The skill/perk change and level cap removal is a major one. I know a lot of players have been asking for something similar since the game was released. |
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
hmm as good as dragonborn supposedly is, not sure it's worth a rebuy even at a reduced price just to try it if there's no other DLC on the horizon.

Skyrim: Legendary Edition out this June
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.c...XtVxTuo5HS.jpg Bethesda Softworks announced this morning that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition, which includes all the game's downloadable content, will launch this June. The full package will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on June 4 and 7 in North America and Europe, respectively. Skyrim: Legendary Edition is priced $60 in North America. The game costs £39.99 (€49.99 / AU$69.95) in Europe and Australia for consoles, with PC priced at £29.99 (€39.99 / AU$49.95). The bundle includes the original game, official expansions Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, as well as "added features like combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills – enabling you to master every perk and level up your skills infinitely." Bethesda recently announced it was "moving on" from Skyrim, which it began working on in 2006. |

Looking at the boxes all together, man the 360's trade dress is ugly.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Why does this fucking game freeze so much on my 360?
|
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Mine froze a lot, too, but a new 360 fixed that problem.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I picked this game up when it originally came out for the PS3 and loved it....right up until the point where the bugs made the game so slow it was unplayable. I have not touched the game in over a year and just wondered how the PS3 version plays these days? I am thinking of getting the Legendary edition when it comes out. Is the PS3 version playable and more bug free these days?

I'll pick up the PC version when it hits between $10 - $15.

This is a really ambitious project. 70 members (30 of which are voice overs)

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
That's pretty sweet looking.
I played the Morroblivion mod last year and ended up playing it more than the original game. Someone needs to connect all the regions together, that's what I'm waiting for. That and the Oculous Rift and I'll never leave home. |
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I always wanted to play this on PC so I could just mess around with mods

I still have the Companions, College Of Winterhold, City Influence, Dark Brotherhood, Civil War, and Dragonborn questline to start. I'm not sure what to join next? I was thinking of saving Civil War for Last. |
