Well, for me personally I find the value in having the music and entrance videos for the DLC guys. Plus they usually add new moves to the game for them. CAWs are great and I will probably fill out my slots for them this year, but they're still limited.

Plus with the Arenas and alt attires I think $10 is a pretty fair addition to the game. I'll wait a little while since I like to unlock things on my own, and the pack will Unlock everything whether you want it to or not.

Speaking of which, one of the cooler ways things will be unlocked is in WWE Universe mode. You'll have a match with somebody, and after you win Vince will come out and tell you that you have another match. A new opponent will come down and if you beat him, he's unlocked.

I downloaded a nice CAW Bulldog for 2010 but, I agree, would be nice to have the moveset and video. Couldn't care less about the NEXT guys, though, as I don't watch the current product. Luger...*shrug*

However, if it is the Nitro set, the WCW arena is of great interest. If only they would come out with the ECW arena too.

So, you mentioned Bret Hart available right away in Canada. How is this, do you know? As my favorite wrestler, he's the only legend I really care about having in the game.

Re: WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2011

Looking around online I seemed to answer my own question. Bret appears to only be available for free in all Canadian copies of the game or if you pre-order from Best Buy.

Sometimes these "unique" things at certain stores get on my nerves. For example, some stores will give you the Tribute to the Troops arena and others Undertakers old Ministry outfit. Argh!

Also, looks like from some photos online I have seen when you play as the Druid the entire crowd is made up of Druids. Kind of neat.

Bret is actually on the cover of the Canadian version of the game along with Undertaker and Edge. So yeah, up there you get Bret no matter where you buy it.

Also, you don't have to pre-order from Best Buy to get Bret. The Best Buy ad for release week leaked and the Bret offer is listed as part of it.

As for the others, the Tribute To The Troops arena is going to be unlockable, and the Orton Alt. Attires should be as well. The Orton attires are a part of Cena's Road To WrestleMania so most believe they'll be unlocked that way.

That image of the Druids is from the Vs. Undertaker RTWM (Ziggler being one of the guys you can use), but yeah it was pretty cool. Taker playing mind games.

Ministry gear is still a mystery. It would seem to be a good unlock for the RTWM, especially with the Masked Kane attire that's in the game. In the end, all of the exclusives will become available, either through unlocks or DLC.

Speaking of Masked Kane, here's a shot of him from the Wii version:

Re: WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2011

Early update:

Normally I wouldn't have updated anything here until tomorrow, as that is when the official unveiling of the final two legends takes place. However, photos have leaked early and the final two legends are:

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
Rob Van Dam

The first one is no surprise as he had been rumored to be in for months. Van Dam is pretty shocking since he started in TNA before the roster cut off date. But perhaps the work was already done with him by that point and the deal for his likeness rights had already been finalized.

Anyway, here's the official Roster pages for Steamboat and RVD:

Steamboat

Rob Van Dam

Ha, King, beat me too it. I was just about to come here and post about those leaked photos. Debate going on if those are legit but it seems to make sense with the clues that have come out.

Also, looks like the Druids in the crowd thing will be a selectable arena.

I don't mind if RVD is in. Just another CAW I don't have to create.

The more that comes out here the better I am liking this game.

Yeah, it's no debate anymore. Marcus Stephenson (One of the producers of the game) confirmed it on his Twitter.

Druid Arena is indeed the 20th in game arena.

Also just confirmed: Edge And Christian have their Los Conquistador outfits as Alternates!

Ha! Better and better!

I got an Xbox for the first time this year after many years of not gaming but, really, when I did all I played was wrestling games. Kind of happy I got SvR 2010 used so I could practice with the game play.

This game had me sold, really, at the fact that we can add entrance music to downloaded CAWS now. As previously mentioned, I just didn't have the design skill set to create some of the classic guys I grew up with to the perfection that some online have. However, it all fell flat with the generic themes. Now to have, say, Warrior run out to this theme will be great.

When my brother and I used to play No Mercy we would create these epic storylines that would last months. Never did get around to the last story creator.

Bring on next week.

Re: WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2011

Tuesday Update:

Rob Van Dam and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat have been officially unveiled on the roster page.

More details about the upcoming DLC packs have been revealed:

Shawn Michaels will have his WrestleMania VIII tights as his DLC 2 attire. Here's an actual image from 1992:

Shad's DLC 2 Attire will be from his Post Cryme Tyme run as a heel (before he was taken off TV).

Undertaker's DLC 3 Alt. Attire is American Bad Ass Taker.

CM Punk's DLC 3 Attire is his SES Mask look.

Finally the biggest news is that the WCW Arena included is WCW Monday Nitro from the 90s. The one with the big WCW logos on the sides.

THQ has put up a page that spells out what comes with the Fan Axxess Pack in pretty good detail:

Can you do different entrance themes for alt. attires?
Will FAN AXXESS only be available for a short time or always?

Fan Axxess will be available long term. They haven't talked about it being a short term deal.

As for the other question. They haven't really spelled out how the DLC attires are going to work yet. I know in 2009 that Mysterio and Jericho had DLC attires that ended up being separate characters. But Kane's alt attire was added to his main character.

With The Undertaker getting 3 attires from 3 different eras, it would be nice if he could also have 3 full entrances.

The game has the capability, as they've had HHH and HBK with DX and standard entrances depending on what they wear.

I hate exclusive deals. I'm on the fence whether I want to buy this or not but I want to get Bret Hart if I do. I wonder if he'll be included in all future pressings of the Best Buy version or if you have to buy it during a certain timeframe or its gone?

It has been said that all other exclusive will be unlockable in the game but Bret Hart will not unless you get him from Best Buy (or all major releases in Canada). It hasn't been announced if Bret will be available as DLC down the line so it seems the wisest choice to get the game with him in it.

But I'm wondering if I choose to not buy it now, like say a couple months down the line from Best Buy will the code to get him still be included with the package or is it going to be a limited time deal only? I have other things I'd like to get right now besides this and this isn't the highest on my priority list considering I don't really watch wrestling anymore.

That I am not sure of. Sorry. I just know that all main Canadian retailers will have him included (not to mentioning presenting him front and centre on the cover art).

It'll only be in the initial release of the game at Best Buy (The pre-order box says While Supplies Last). So if you don't get it on Tuesday, it'll be YMMV. I'm going to a midnight opening.

In my own experience, I found Best Buy's exclusive version of Blur nearly a month after release, and I saw their exclusive Spider-Man after release as well.

Bret will become DLC later, but won't be part of the Fan Axxess pack. If you're going to wait a couple months anyway, Bret should be available as DLC by then.

This is just for people who don't want to wait for Bret.

Re: WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2011

Greg is a f***** tool plain and simple! he says how the reversals are easy to pull off then says it was hard when facing Bryan Williams and thats why he started to spam the float-over DDT. Maybe he should learn to play the game properly and not act like a 10 year old.

I can't believe people still take his reviews serious.

I'm getting the game and i'm going to damn well enjoy it...if people are actually going listen to this nerd and not get the game because of his "complaints" then WOW!!

The way he hypes the games you would expect atleast a 9 (like last year too) but then come review he complains about the stupidest things like the crowd didn't look good which is why the graphics got a low score or lip synching issues...very trivial things.
