Spring, 2018? It's barely autumn 2017 - still seems like a lifetime away!

I wonder if they're gonna push/monetize it's online mode like they've done with GTA. Probably, it'll be an easy moneymaking machine for them.

The game will be released early 2019 - not spring of 2018.

It looked decent - wasn't blown away by it. Definitely a buy either way.

Shit, really? That's much worse!
Where did I get Spring 2018 from?

The trailer clearly shows Spring 2018 (see at 1:18 in the video)

I'm not sure where you are getting that from, it even said Spring 2018 at the end of the trailer. They already delayed it once from Fall 2017, so I don't see them pushing it back again.

Spring 2018, probably a one off game for 2019, and GTA 6 in late 2019/early 2020?

This trailer confirms that they are really keeping the story under wraps.

New games each year after RDR2? Wishful thinking:

All that nothing = shark card money. I think those guys actually dance around the office while they look at the amount of shark card money that comes in. Stop buying that crap and they will go back to work.

I'm saying 2019 based on how they do things. Rockstar is all about the hype.

I agree completely. I just think they got lazy since they started that shark card money.

Rockstar is well known in the gaming industry to have some ridiculous crunch time. Knowing some folks and former coworkers at Rockstar San Diego as well, laziness definitely does not apply.

It's not about laziness- that graphic was made to show that they "discovered" micro transactions.

Right off the graphic, they had something released every year until GTA 5, which was a huge cash cow for them. I can very easily see them going back to one game a year until GTA 6 is released. I'm fairly sure that I have read that RD2, GTA 6 and something else was being worked on over the last 2 years.

re: Red Dead Redemption 2 —> 10/26/18

I just honestly think Rockstar went "Full Business" since GTA V - I do hope I'm wrong but that game was kind of shitty to me, definitely not worth a five year wait and not too mention GTA online being broken for like a year or whatever
- single player was busted too - tons of people had many issues with that game - they made over a billion dollars on hype alone and literally left the game broken because people will still pay to play.

Previous to GTA V, Rockstar would never allow bugs like that in game and always fixed them right away - GTA IV never crashed on me once - Bully had issues shortly after it was released but Rockstar fixed that - They never fixed ANY of the issues I had in GTA V and I still have them to this day.

I gave up completely after beating the game on xbox one - my map faded out and items on it dissapeared like I never originally opened them - you use to be able to email the mouth off section on their website to get fixed...now all they have is some shitty forum where your issue just gets lost in the sea of other complaints.

New release date

October 26th 2018

Now the discussion starts if it gets delayed into 2019

Maybe they are planning a battle royale mode. 100 cowboys on horses fall from a plane...

Like I said - it will be released in 2019.....and more than likely it will be a broken mess.

I don't know why anyone would complain about something being delayed at this point. It's not like every month isn't littered with releases. That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if this slipped to fall 2019 on purpose. It's not like Rockstar needs to cannibalize their own audience since GTA V is still selling gangbusters.

Because being lied to is annoying. This game never had a snowball's chance in hell of coming out last fall, so why tell people it is?

2019? Sure, seems likely. Broken? Absolutely not. When has Rockstar released a broken game? Some haven't been great but all their AAA titles have been pretty glitch-free.
