Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Boy, if that's the last pack, I'd consider that a major disappointment for me. Sorry, fans of that band. Not at all my style.
As for the last song, no surprise there. It's an appropriate way to end DLC and this era of Rock Band. |

Wait,

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I don't think I've ever heard of that band
Spoiler:
If that's the final song, it's a very fitting finale. Was that song ever in a GH game? I kind of thought it was. |

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
No, they've been around for awhile now and play a hell of a good show. Listening to their music, you would never guess that they were a 3 man band. They just came out with a greatest hits album, check it out some time if you like hard rock/metal.

Supposedly the last songs were up on the dashboard for a bit, but were not purchasable. I haven't turned on my 360 to check to see if they're still there or not. Looks like I was wrong with my 95% guess on the correct song.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Don't understand the Chevelle hate in here. As far as modern rock bands go, they're easily one of the best. They're heavy enough, have a solid vocalist, lots of songs with hooks, not afraid to experiment, etc. What's not to like?

I heard from a pretty credible source that Semi-Sonic's "Closing Time" had already been charted. Of course, this wouldn't be the only time that a fully completed song never got released.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I may be out of touch, but I've never heard of Chevelle.

I can't recall every listening to them, but according to the internet they have sold more records than The Ramones.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
We wouldn't be in this mess if they would have started with the Chevelle DLC long ago.
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I had never heard of Chevelle either.
Chevelle is something they should have given over to RBN and focused more on shoring up the licensing for the Toto 3 pack. Which would have been all sorts of awesome. |

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
That's the last of the Blitz tracks. I have nothing neither for nor against Chevelle. I can only name one song and I remember my wife picking up the cd when it was new. It does seem, on the surface, as a very boring way to end the DLC run.
That said, American Pie would be a fantastic final track. Then again, everything on our shared list would be a fantastic final track. |
