The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I love CoP, but I played through that fucker so many times on GH3, trying to get that "200,000 points w/o Star Power" achievement, that I don't think I ever want to play it again in a music game.
I think my best was around 198,500, and that was with one of the shitty Les Paul controllers. If they ever would have patched that game to work with the Rock Band guitars I'm pretty sure I could have gotten it.

Yes please! Even though I have some of these on Lips, I have zero problems ponying up the money to play them on RockBand. Lyrics will be an absolute breeze (maybe even Expert for once).
Edit: Though I had a cold this week, hope I'm done with it by next tuesday.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I'm pleased with the HLewis song selections, given the fact they had so many hits in the 80s. Hopefully we'll see more.
Also, with Huey out of the way, we're flying blind (with no official future DLC artists announced.) I hope they have some good stuff lined up. Maybe even more than 3-4 songs a week every once in a while...

My dream for this year is a Def Leppard "Hysteria" album pack for its 25th anniversary.
After all, the two Hysteria DLC tracks to date have been live versions while other albums got to use their studio versions. Hmmm...

Not when there are recent making-of-the album documentaries where the guys are playing with the masters (isolating instruments, etc)

Here's a timely bump: fuck Primus. Seriously, how did they rate Jerry Was a Racecar Driver at only "Nightmare" and not a full "Impossible"? Maybe I'm just making it harder than it is because all the HOPOs make it look scarier, but there's something seriously wrong when I can gold star a song in the next tier, but only 1-star this. Stupid challenges.

Oh, yeah, but I'm going after all the various career challenges, specifically the Bass ones. I'll move on to vocals later

More power to all of you guys who do Bass and Lead at Expert (and Drums too). I know my limitations lol, so vocals is all I got. Lead and Bass will forever be medium for me, merely something to do when my friends get together and somebody else wants to sing. My fingers simply don't cooperate at hard and especially expert. But darn it, I can sing.

HAHA, yep, that's probably right except I've been trying on and off for many years. First with Guitar Hero and then with RockBand, I've been along for the ride for a long long time. I've finally came to grips when Rock Band 3 came out that I will stick to medium for guitar and for anything hard or expert, I'll go along with my singing chops.

With their combined experience, I predict the world's foremost hacky sack simulator. Better with Kinect™!
