No, just the regular, so $22 once you factor in the import. I'd been waiting for $15 total, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Re: Greenday Rock Band/Best Buy
Actually if you can find a plus version, it is the same price. My location did have one, but I already had it so I didn't bother. Also, if you have a Fry's (which is where I found mine) it was only $15 but it was in a special bin with other musical video games.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
It's another day of DLC giveaways.
I got lucky and won a Soundgarden code by hanging out in a Turntable room (and entering a code into xbox.com in a speedy way.) Anybody else get a code via Twitter or Turntable today?

Ha, Which guy were you in there? Myself and Pinata also got codes in that room. (I'm DJ Radsocks) and I think Vryce got one via twitter.

L&O and I each got one from that turntable room and Vryce got two directly from Pope on twitter, though the first was ganked by an anonymous scum. Pope's fault for publicly releasing it in the first place

Stopped by my BB this evening and picked up a copy. They didn't have any of the Plus editions in stock, unfortunately.

I've been pretty lucky with free DLC. SG, Ozzy, and Foo. I hope they keep it up with the contests...and I hope I can keep cashing in.
Now I wait for the Friday announcement. Since the rumor says it's a RB3 group, I am hoping for one of the big 80s bands to get some action.

Damn, I was away all day so I missed out on the Soundgarden DLC giveaway stuff - guess I'll have to buy some points ASAP because I'm dying to play those songs!

I still have an unredeemed Bon Jovi DLC pack that I have been trying to trade away for another big DLC pack that is comperable. I won two in different contests.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Since I don't see it yet, here's the announcement for next week's DLC:
DLC Week of 7/26 - Yes 5 Pack!
Hey everyone,
Are you a fan of great progressive rock? Powerful vocal hooks? Awesome Rock Band gameplay for all instruments? Yes? Then have some Yes!
These five songs from English progressive rock band Yes together yield about 40 minutes of amazing gameplay! This pack is a must-have for fans of keyboard gameplay. Enjoy!
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (July 26th, 2011):
• Yes – “Heart of the Sunrise”
• Yes – “I’ve Seen All Good People” X
• Yes – “Owner of a Lonely Heart” X
• Yes – “South Side of the Sky”
• Yes – “Starship Trooper”
These tracks will be available for purchase as “Yes Pack 01” and as individual tracks on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii. Tracks marked with “X” will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.
_______
I'm not a huge Yes fan, but there are two tracks in there I'd pick up for sure. Also, when HMXHenry told me at the end of June there were no RB3 artists with DLC coming in the immediate future...he must have meant in the next 4 weeks. Hopefully there's more RB3 artists coming soon. I needs me some more 80s pop/rock love.

HOLY F***ING SHIT. WOW.
SSOTS is probably my favorite track on Fragile - maybe behind HOTS. The guitar parts in the verse of that song are going to be a lot of fun.

So I felt the Soundgarden songs were a little under-tiered on guitar. Rusty Cage is one I will never pass, sort of like Visions lite.

To celebrate the 3,000 song milestone, RB has a contest on facebook to win 100 dlc codes. Winners selected after July 28, 2011.
Would have been cooler to give away all 3k songs.

Pretty funky week! I think I'll get a few of these.
Hey gang,
This week, the Rock Band DLC release features funk, Hip Hop, and Classic Rock with 4 amazing artists. Beastie Boys kick things off with the lead single off of their 2011 release Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, “Make Some Noise” and one of their breakout rock party anthems – “No Sleep till Brooklyn”.
From the world of funk, Rock Band fans get a one-two punch! Rufus (ft Chaka Khan) delivers the grooves with “Tell Me Something Good”. The Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown, picks up the tempo with the inimitable “Super Bad, Pts. 1 & 2”.
Lastly, Heart’s “Barracuda” arrives in the Rock Band Music Store. A frequent request on RockBand.com, this tune features an optional Pro Guitar upgrade, letting you learn the galloping riff to the 1977 classic.
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (August 2nd , 2011):
• Beastie Boys – “Make Some Noise”
• Beastie Boys – “No Sleep till Brooklyn”
• Heart – “Barracuda” X

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I think this is a great week. Nice mix of classic stuff and brand new music from Beasties. Something for everyone, or so I thought. Then I started reading the official RB boards.
I should be surprised at the general level of hate/disappointment going on over there...but that's usually par for the course over there. A lot of anger about the only Heart song being Barracuda. What exactly is wrong with that tune? It seems like a reasonable pick from Heart's early days to me.

Barracuda is a great song. Though I'd have liked a 2 or 3 pack of Heart songs. Crazy on You and Magic Man added to make a Classic Heart 3 pack.

After listening to everything, I confirm what I assumed: I only care about No Sleep and Barracuda.
