The disc contains all of the Going Country 01/02/03 songs and three of the five Alt Country songs (Neko Case and the Old 97's are not included on the disc). Better deal if you can find it. I bought a download code for it on eBay last year for around $10 or so.

FYI: @HMXhenry is doing a Q&A via Twitter. He's spilling some interesting info. Not necessarily "Zep is coming to RB" level news, but it's worth a look.

Also, yesterday, he let me know that they've started talking about 2012 DLC. I take that as a good sign, considering HMX hasn't mentioned "DLC" and "2012" in one sentence before now.

Remember when there used to be recognizable stuff peppered into the RBN release list? I miss those days.

Nah, see hockey is a fun past time but doesn't define me. "My team" made a decent run, but ran out of steam...as with tradition. Disappointed in the loss, totally. But what can you do.

As for Amberian Dawn. Enough already. Are they really selling that much to warrant the entire fucking discography? (that's a serious question actually)

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

I buy all the AD stuff.

From what I've seen on the leaderboards, yes they are selling that much. Deal with it, bitches.

I've been happy with RBN lately, a lot of fun drum songs, and some from bands I already know.

Didn't even know that site existed, and yeah it looks like they do sell enough to warrant that. and I see Creed is #2 on the list overall.

The Top 10 RBN Artists agree,
Drowning Pool
Creed
Evanescence
Finger Eleven
Seether
Five Finger Death Punch
Third Eye Blind
A Day To Remember
Third Eye Blind

Although I do like playing that A Day To Remember song.

That basically just proves that more people will buy RBN tracks from recognizable-but-crappy bands than obscure-but-good bands. I just don't think RBN is a good platform for discovering new music. I'm not saying people aren't blind-buying songs or buying new songs based on previews but there are a lot less of those people than Evanescence fans.

I remember being really stoked on the idea of RBN but here it is over a year later and the only 3 tracks I've bought are the Flight of the Conchords tracks. I get RBN updates on Twitter and every time I'm disappointed.

Looks like you're one of the ones that needs to branch out then. Seriously, there's tons of good stuff on RBN for almost every genre out there.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Yeah, I've been introduced to many new bands through RBN. Probably only about 20% of the new RBN bands that I buy songs of I actually get their albums, but still, that's pretty cool as a person who loves finding new music.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Speaking of RBN, have they fixed the thing where all the pro drum pads come up as cymbals, or is that just something that's going to be a problem until RB4?

That was because those songs weren't authored for pro-drums. As of a month or so ago when RBN 2.0 launched, every song has pro-drums support.

I actually like Maroon 5, (though I still wonder where Harder to Breathe is), so I might get this. Wake up Call is one of my best songs lyrically on my resume so to speak.

I've got no use for Maroon 5, but Puddle of Mudd could be entertaining.
