Yeah, a whole bunch of "nil" guesses would have been fun. That's what Twitter's for #RB3 #confirmed #inmydreams

Obviously they were no? But regardless, the tracks certainly would've been even if the artists were a possibility.

Bring on the DLC!

Self-contradiction is self-contradictory.

Ok, so you were merely banking on the artists, not the tracks. In doing so, you jinxed their other tracks from showing up, Neo. Whoa.

No...I said "even if" basing that off of your belief not mine.

However I am sure me vocalizing Muse's New Born resulted in us getting Roxette.

After digesting the playlist, I'm pretty pleased overall. If they were to offer all of these songs as DLC, I would pick up around 50 of them. Considering they are clearly trying to hit every musical genre out there, I think that's a decent amount.

Still, because I'm greedy, I am hoping to be wowed with the first batches of DLC. I'll take Billy and Ben songs via that route.

I'll play them all once, and likely have the same kind of list - except I enjoy ATDI.

I double that sentiment (and my wife does as well). Honestly, I'm disappointed in the list. The amount of Lips & Guitar Hero re-dos is a little much. Not to mention, there just isn't a lot of songs that I'm going to enjoy doing over and over again. I mean, I guess the only reason I'll end up getting it is the engine for future DLC, not the 80 songs included (which is kinda sad when you think about it). I was way more interested in RB1 and 2. *sigh*.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Not a lot jumping out at me, and a couple are reruns.

2. Anthrax – "Caught in a Mosh"
13. David Bowie – "Space Oddity"
15. Def Leppard – "Foolin'"
16. Devo – "Whip It"
17. Dio – "Rainbow in the Dark"
20. The Doors – "Break On Through (To the Other Side)"
28. Golden Earring – "Radar Love"
30. Huey Lewis and the News – "The Power of Love"
34. The J. Geils Band – "Centerfold"
38. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts – "I Love Rock 'n Roll"
46. Night Ranger – "Sister Christian"
47. Ozzy Osbourne – "Crazy Train"
55. Queen – "Bohemian Rhapsody"
65. The Smiths – "Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before"

Music is of course subjective, and they're running out of exclusive big artists, and they may be holding the "big ones" for DLC sales since many people will like some number of the disk songs, but like others, I'm definitely not as excited for 3 as I was for 1/2. Has the novelty worn off?

Rock Band still needs some Neil Young. Or Bobby D's "Like a Rolling Stone."

Finally! James Silva's (Ska Studios) title track for the XBLIG hit, "I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT !!!1" is up for download. And at 56mb, I'm guessing it's the insanely long 8-9 minute full track

It's $1.

I think the novelty has worn off a little. Maybe because we've been spoiled?

This game doesn't have a "big one" like you said and because of that I think I'll maybe hold off on it.

I mean I would have liked to see just about anything from:

Jimi Hendrix
Billy Joel
Bruce Springsteen
Pink Floyd
U2
Coldplay
Bush

I understand there maybe issues with those artists but it's been awhile since Rock Band 2 and I did expect something "big" for a new game.
