The Lost Episodes apparently don't fit into the timeline anywhere, and are basically excuses to pit Asura against Street Fighter characters Ryu and Akuma.

Episode Pack: Part IV looks practically essential to the game, as it resolves the cliffhanger that episode 18 ends on, and is apparently high quality. The other DLC looks more optional:

Thanks for that. I'll grab episode part IV while its on sale and probably pass on the rest.

Grain of salt, but the rumor is that the Games for Gold free titles in August will be Crackdown and Dead Rising 2.

Crackdown would be an instant Download, I've wanted to play that for a while and just never got around to it. However, Dead Rising 2, I just never got into, no offense.

Neat, I just got rid of Crackdown (although I doubt I would ever play it again). DR2 was pretty shitty but I may give it another go. DR2: Off the Record, however, was actually really good.

I wouldn't mind re-visiting Crackdown if just for some more Orb-hunting (sold the game like five years ago), but I'd probably have to delete something from the HDD just to download this.
I'd take the whole list with a big grain of salt. We've been fooled before and it looks like Japan is getting Full House Poker next, for whatever that's worth.

BTW : Weren't we supposed to have gotten some sort of FTP poker XBLA game to replace Full House Poker some time ago?

That's funny, they put on the game everybody bought but nobody liked or actually played. NOBODY.

mmconhea is/was off his rocker. Crackdown was amazing and I remember all the podcast personalities raving on it.

I liked Dead Rising 2 but it was more of a DR1.5 than anything.

Still have both, but have 80 or 90GB still so I'll probably download them anyway.

First, I would like to praise your impeccable word choice even if mildly inapplicable in this particular situation.

Second, this guy, this guy right here. Bitch.

Crackdown was fun as hell and had great co-op. Possibly had the first open world drop-in co-op in gaming? If not, damn close to the first.

I will back up disco, Crackdown was one of the most *fun* games I played that year. Not a great game by any means, but leveling up your agility by finding orbs and being able to run and leap building to building was just exhilarating.

Now in a post Infamous world it might be ugly and not as thrilling but at the time I was floored.

Xbox Live Gold Deal of the Week is GTA IV and DLC for half off. So if you missed out buying The Lost & The Damned the last seventy-four times it was on sale, here's your chance. Or alternatively, you could wait and it'll be on sale again in another month or two.

The sales are usually nothing to get excited about during the general Summer of Arcade period, so no big surprise there. Time to work on the backlog.

I actually bought that DLC a long time, I hope it was on sale, because I've never played it.

Looks like the rumors were true, with the added bonus of an extra XBLA Dead Rising title!

"Starting tomorrow (August 1st) the award winning Xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown (Normally 800 points) will be free for Xbox LIVE Gold members through August 15th.

"Then on August 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can grab BOTH Dear Rising 2 (Normally US $14.99) and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (Normally 400 points) for free."

Sweet. I'll definitely grab Crackdown and Dead Rising 2 Case Zero. Already have DR2. Still wish they would release some newer games for free though. You know, something that came out after 2010.

Seems like they have mostly been releasing games that are getting sequels on the Xbox One.

I realized I never took advantage of the free games. Added Ass Creed 2 to my queue before it expires.

Did they announce Crackdown 3?

No, but they hinted at it.

May have to look at DR2...never played the first but being a LFD fan...zombies are zombies. But I'm still working on Tomb Raider and haven't touched ACII yet.
