I miss the promise of Game Room

I wonder what that Dead Rising 2 Gamebreaker pack is.

Still can't believe Activision wants $50 for the CoD Elite subscription. Even three $15 map packs won't justify that cost. No wonder the Hardened Edition is all sold out online.

Nothing for me from these sales. Though seriously, who wouldn't want to buy a discounted skeleton costume for their avatar on the day after Halloween? What is this, Wal-Mart?

It'll be a combination of all the 160 packs, don'tchathink?

I downloaded the trial for Dungeon Defenders. It is pretty cool. I usually don't care about "tower defense" games, but this one puts an extra spin on it with the RPG elements. I am still deciding whether to pull the trigger or not. Anyone here play it?

I bought Dungeon Defenders last night, i am officially an addict now. This game is extemely fun.

You certainly are not the only one. Ugh, totally and f'ingly abandoned. Such a shame too. I even have a couple of games that I would still like to download but I am not sure I even see the point. Honestly, they should just slice all the prices in half and be done with it.

There is irony that my most-wanted Game Room title Burger Time never came out, but this week there was a silly HD pseudo-3D remake released on XBLA. Suppose I should check it out sometime. Doubt I'd grab it before a sale regardless.

The Simpsons Arcade likely coming to consoles

The Simpsons arcade game is considered by many to be a true beat 'em up classic, and while most of that is due to blind nostalgia, it's still a neat little button masher. Sadly, it's never come to consoles, but the Australian Classification Board has let slip a rating that heavily points toward a release.

It lacks system or release information, but the sudden appearance of the rating, as well as the named developer, is solid evidence.

Backbone Entertainment -- known mostly for its digital SEGA ports -- is handling development while Konami will publish. Presumably it will be for both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, but Konami is remaining tight lipped.

Pretty cool news for brawler fans. I'll be glad to give it another go, even if it is a little crusty these days.

Check your accounts folks. MS is randomly depositing points into accounts. There's a handful of people on CAG confirming it. This is on top of your usual XBL Rewards deposits. No one seems to know what it's for.

Today I got 120 for the usual Rewards and an unknown 170 point deposit.

I got 110 today which is the same amount I got for last month's normal rewards disbursement.

I only have 180 in my account, which is the same amount that is pending from Xbox Rewards, so I don't think it's anything extra.

Have you checked billing.microsoft.com to be sure?

Same here. This along with Turtles and X-Men were absolute blasts for me to play with others or even by yourself. Can't wait to play with Marge and her vacuum cleaner (that just didn't sound right).

Looking through that history, I see that I had 260 points added to my account six times on a single day in August. I have no idea what that was from. Anyone else have something like that in their account or any idea what that could have been?

edit : I did have a big conversation some time ago with a CS rep about trying to redeem a 1600 point card that unbeknown to me was actually promotional and expired (despite having no such indications on the card, which I had bought at Amazon Marketplace some time before). They basically told me I was SOL since it had expired, but 6 x 260 = 1560 so maybe someone found a way to give me (almost) all those points back. Just a thought.
