Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

I can't get the site to work either. But from another forum, once it's working again, here's how to get your villager in your copy of Fable III:

1) Go to http://lionhead.com/Fable3VillagerMaker
2) Sign into your email address (at the top left of the page) that is associated with your gamertag
3) Enter the pre-order code you got from Amazon or wherever you ordered
4) Create your character
5) Click confirm at the end

Apparently the instructions in the Amazon.com email are completely wrong.

Speaking of the site, I can't get it to work. Clicking on the Start Designing button doesn't do anything. I've tried IE and Firefox on two different computers. Anybody having any luck?
Same here. I just tried it and no go.

You're right, they couldn't be any more wrong.

I tried this way and it won't do anything when I enter my code or click "start designing."

That's pretty sad when Fable III has bugs even before being released

Amazon sent out a correction email with the updated steps. Website still isn't working for me though.

Got that email too. But if you go to the link they provide (www.xbox.com/fable3) there isn't a place to put the code like in the link from Lionshead someone posted above.

At the bottom of that page is the villiage maker link. You can enter the code there.

Free weapons pack up for download.

In-game content. Communication is very important in Fable III, and what better way to communicate with the world than to bash it in the head with the new hammer, Bloodstone Bludgeon, and shoot it in the face with the brand new rifle, Gusket's Musket? These items will be added to your gift queue in the Sanctuary, and will be available when weapons are unlocked in the storyline.

Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

Have not received Villager Maker codes from Best Buy or Walmart. Nor did my gamestop pre-order villager maker code print up on the receipt. Do we know when they expire?

By the way, I'm really excited for this game.

Amazon for me. I wish at least one CSR would extract their head from wherever it is embedded and send it.
I never got my free $4 Video On Demand code for buying dexter S4 either. Amazon is slacking off.

Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

Can't decide if I want to make a snooty upper-crust male villager who's rude to me or a slutty, female commoner who wants to screw everything that moves. Leaning towards the slut, though.

Obviously the slut.

I'm torn on this one. I never finished Fable II and I've got RB3 coming. Plus I think I want to get Force Unleashed II...too many options.

Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

No reviews out on either game yet, but one print review did run for TFU 2 (Game Informer) They gave it a 7.5 and called it "one of 2010's biggest disappointments".

Ouch. Maybe I'll just put the money towards my RB3 keyboard instead.

Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

Destructoid wasn't impressed

Not only has Fable once again failed to live up to its promise, it's gotten further away from it than before, and that's an incredibly frustrating shame.

Score: 5.5 -- Mediocre (5s are an exercise in apathy, neither Solid nor Liquid. Not exactly bad, but not very good either. Just a bit "meh," really.)

So what's with this discrepancy? Half the reviewers listened to what was promised while the other half just played the game?

Re: Fable III -- Oct. 26th, 2010

I'm concerned about the notion that the game isn't as deep as Fable II. That game was already fairly light compared to similar games.
