Naughty Bear (PS3/360) - The Homicidal Teddy Ruxpin Thread

I just saw this previewed on X-Play. It could be complete shit, but I like what I've seen so far. They compared it to Manhunt, but I've never played that game.

Release date is Tuesday (6/29).

I've had my eye on this for months, but it seems like one that could go either way so I'm waiting on reviews and reactions. And, ok, a likely price drop not far in the future.

This company, 505 Games, has seemingly come out of nowhere. This is their fourth US release in the last 45 days, but all their eggs are definitely in this basket. They've been marketing the hell out of this game.

Well if it is as fun as Conker's BFD, I'll be at least renting it from Gamefly for sure.

Still waiting for reviews, but Kmart looks to be the place to buy the game. It will be $34.99 from 6/29-7/3.

From what I understand, 505 Games is just the publisher. The actual dev is "Artificial Mind and Movement". They did Dante's Inferno (PSP) and Wet (360), as well as the newest Scene It for 360 and Twilight Scene It for Wii

Here is a review from a UK game blog as the game is already out in that country:

Verdict according to them is not to bother buying this game.

Hey, that's something else it has in common with Dante's Inferno (PSP), Wet (360), the newest Scene It game for the 360 and (I'm comfortable in assuming) Twilight Scene It for Wii.

Yup. And 505's been around for a while.

I know, it's just interesting that they're publishing so many games here so close together.

That's nothing! Last year I had to review, not one - but three separate Discovery Kids DS titles from 505 in a two week period!

And how many "Imagine" titles does Ubisoft publish a year?

It's not.

Only played through a few of the levels, but it seems really shallow and just odd in general. I really like the idea, but maybe as an arcade release as opposed to a full disc. I'll still be spending some more time with it though.

This game always looked bad to me, and I never understood the anticipation for it.

Sometimes I have anticipation to play games because of how bad they look.

That's too bad. Guess I'll be passing on this one.

IGN gave it a 2.5/10 "Naughty Bear could’ve been cool, but it isn’t. It’s a terrible game. You shouldn’t play it."

Had heard nothing about this game. Saw it at GameStop. It looked fun and different. The guy at GameStop told me it was extremely fun and hilarious. He is a liar. It is the worst game I've purchased in a long, long time.

I thought you post was hilarious, so to be fair, he's not a complete liar.

IGN gave it a 2.5 for PS3 and 3.0 for 360
