I'll second it. Still haven't finished it but pretty good story line and the ability to destroy, smash and blowup stuff is way to much fun. I think the demo may still be up and it's pretty cool byitself.
Only downside is...no co-op.
The new one slated for next year is rumored to have coop.

Killzone 2 and Resistance were two of the bigger disappointments of this gen for me (especially Resistance, wasn't expecting much out of K2 to begin with), I do want to give R2 a shot sometime. Though going off the action comment, scott1598 would prolly like K2, shame about the whole exclusivity thing.
scott1598 - did you try out ODST? FEAR? Chronicles of Riddick (namely Escape from Butcher Bay)? Bad Company 2?

Thought about your Crysis again, and I'm prepared to give an answer that's a Far Cry from the one I gave before (don't think I'm a STALKER for replying to you twice). You may Quake in FEAR when you hear this (but those who don't know history are Doomed to repeat it): there are Dark Forces about, an Undying, Elite Force. Unreal, right? This fact may be a System Shock, but this is Serious Sam, er... Scott (excuse me) and I'll Prey you don't call me a Heretic for possibly bringing you to the Brink of Rage. The Fall Out from this fact is that No One Lives Forever, especially if they're spilling Blood in the name of Modern Warfare. Bring a good Painkiller.
P.S. don't illegally download games, or else you're a Thief.

i know it was mentioned a couple times, but no specifics...
how does F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. 2 fit my original post criteria?
i played a bit of the 2 demo from xbl, as that is the only one still up, and liked it, but couldn't even get past first armored soldier. i mean taking my love for horror and new fondness for FPS, this seems like a safe bet and can be had for good price.
the controls and scheme seemed very Halo-ish...

Don't know if you have a PS3, but Resistance 2 would be a good fit. Lots of dudes with aggressive AI and 8-PLAYER COOP.

And you wonder why we sometimes quote things to make sure you've read them days after initially posted?
