Re: Singularity
I've replayed Infamous twice since it came out. I played through Prototype once, and was so sick of it by the end that it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Re: Singularity
I liked Prototype. However, the game got very frustrating a few hours in. I like just screwing around doing random things most of the time. Later in the game you can't do anything without apaches and tanks rushing you constantly.

Re: Singularity
I liked Prototype quite a bit, despite its many frustrations. I'll probably get this eventually when it drops in price a bit. I'd be more motivated if it didn't have multiplayer achievements, which I loathe.

Re: Singularity
It's a mail-in offer from Activision, so it shouldn't matter where you buy. 360 only, I think -- you need to send in your proof-of-purchase and they send you Prototype. I assume there will be an insert in the Singularity case explaining what you need to do.

Man, I hope this hits the bargain bin before the free Prototype offer expires.

Re: Singularity
Received my order from Amazon.
$60 for Singularity and Prototype, plus a $20 credit (I think that's why I ordered this).
Will start playing later tonight.

Re: Singularity
wow...got the game from amazon, did not play it yet, but hell the quality of the free graphic novel is nice. I was thinking it would be something like that shitty free comic that came with Batman AA, but this is real nice...full sized graphic novel....

Who did the art? Raven has several former comics pros on staff, including Jeff Butler (co-creator of Badger) and Jeff Moy and Cory Carani (from Legion of Superheroes).

Re: Singularity
I played for less than an hour, it's just the introduction, and it feels like Bioshock, with a few differences of course. And yeah, I know that in a little bit they are going to add a few more things that will make a little more different. Still, so far I'm liking the game. It's my kind of game, I'm exploring every corner, opening every trash bin, reading every note, etc. And I'm playing on Hard but it doesn't seem to be that hard, a little under one hour of course, at least not as hard as the first Bioshock.

Re: Singularity
I'm having the opposite reaction. This feels like a cheap rip-off of Bioshock, and the time shifting aspects aren't nearly as interesting as they made it out to be. I'm a few hours in now and it's boring me. I'll probably sell this quick and pick up Lego Harry Potter instead.

I'm not finished yet, but I am quite a ways into it and I'm really enjoying it. I would compare it to Darksiders, not in its game play, but in the fact that it doesn't real break new ground, but it does a great job of going over the old ground. If you like sci-fi FPSs, this is worth your time.

On a side note, I started the game on normal, and after the first few fights left me on the edge of my seat, and low ammunition, I decided to keep it on normal. That was a bit of a mistake. The game becomes stupid easy. Even the bosses got easier the longer the game went. The first boss was the hardest (and even that was easy).....It was almost god mode the last 1/3 of the game really.....Do yourself a favor and start it on hard.....

Re: Singularity
To give you an idea of how easy this game is on normal:
I've been happily running along buying upgrades for my character when I found an upgrade to give me an extra TMD equipment slot. "That's kind of weird," I thought -- I have six or seven upgrades and haven't maxed out my slots yet. How many slots do they think I need.
That's when I realized I hadn't actually equipped any of my upgrades. Turns out, you can only equip one (or two, if you buy the extra slot) at a time. But having no upgrades equipped didn't slow me down even a little.
