I think I'm in the last act and I gotta admit that so far the game hasn't blown me away. But it's still fun...

Finally finished the campaign last night. Played most of the time with 3 of us, occasionally with 4 and it was a lot of fun. I think the campaign in the first game has still been the most fun, but i'm satisfied.

Spoiler:
The water level was silly. It wasn't particularly challenging or an interesting level, other then some nice visuals.

We did a crap load fighting the Lambent Berzerker. That was the hardest fight i've had playing these games, not sure why.

Dom :(

I'm fine with the ending, although I kept thinking there was going to be some bigger revelation about the Queen that never happened.


I'll probably play a bit more multiplayer, but I always had more fun in Gears with the campaign :)

If anyone loves playing Horde mode and wouldn’t mind helping me out, please shoot me a pm or add me to your friend’s list. I’m stuck on wave 45 and need a couple people to finish.

Today is Ticker Tuesday, so it's mostly tickers in horde. Might be a great time to finish it, even without many people.

Also for everyone, this is one of the events that counts towards the War Supporter medal/achievement.

:lol: Yeah, I just tried it after posting and it didn't work. I had assumed that since it's a Gears of War 3 event that it would count towards the medal for playing in Gears of War 3 events. Silly, I know.

When can we stop using spoilers about the story?

Anyway, regarding the Queen...

Since they actually talk about that during the game, about how she looks human, different from the locust, my guess is that they are going to answer that and some other questions in the "next" game/series. I can see them doing a prequel, specially since Dom is dead.

Still in Act I with some friends; no rush to finish single player. Gameplay is fun as is working co-op. More challenging than some games. It is annoying how your weapons reset often.

Finally played some MP and Beast. MP was fun, but takes a while to get used to. You definitely need to stick together as a team. Run and gun like MW does not work. Beast was a lot of fun. Nice quick matches that are similar, but nowhere near as frustrating as Horde mode.

I think Ticker Tuesday actually made horde mode more difficult as all the defensive items blew up much faster.

Yeah, I tried playing horde by myself last night to see if I could even get past a wave or two and kept getting my ass kicked.

It's available now. Gets you the first 4 DLCs at a 33% discount, plus Liquid Metal weapon skins. The 4 DLCs will be 3600 MSP if purchased separately.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this before, but there's a Gears 3 tie-in instant win game at Jack In The Box. I won one of 250,000 green liquid metal weapon skin packs from the large soda cup. Yippie, I guess.

If you don't have a jack in the box nearby, you can also wait until it hits the marketplace sometime early next year. I think it's 320 points or whatever the animated skins cost.

Seriously, can someone help me in Multiplayer?

How can enemies Roadie Walk straight up to me while taking my bullets to their heads and take me out with a shotgun? Is their some trick I'm missing?
