They need to go back to fighting games...the first two on PS2/GC/Xbox(2) were awesome. Not this.....*sigh*.

haha, there are going to be some classic gangster white boy you tube videos once this thing drops. Can't wait.

I also wish they would go back to the original games. Those were some of the best fighting games on the PS2 & Xbox

Re: Def Jam: Rapstar - Fall 2010

I'd say this being a Mature game is a lock; all there other games save for the original have been 17+

I'd get the game if all the new garbage wasn't on there, or the old school stuff heavily outweighed the new. Wu-Tang? YES! Lil' Wayne? NO!

Re: Def Jam: Rapstar - Fall 2010

I wonder how much Def Jam had to pay to license these songs...I mean, more than half of the ones listed in the first post weren't even released under Def Jam.
  • 2Pac - I Get Around (Atlantic/Interscope and BMG/Jive)
  • 50 Cent – I Get Money (Aftermath/Interscope)
  • Dr. Dre feat. Snoop Dogg – Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang (Death Row/Interscope)
  • Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx – Gold Digger (Roc-A-Fella/DefJam)
  • Lil’ Wayne – A Milli (Cash Money/Universal)
  • The Notorius B.I.G – Juicy (Bad Boy/Arista)
  • Slick Rick – Children’s Story (DefJam)
  • T.I. featuring Rihanna – Live Your Life (Grand Hustle/Atlantic and DefJam)
  • Wu Tang Clan – C.R.E.A.M. (Loud)
  • Young Jeezy featuring Kanye West – Put On (DefJam)

This game has to be better then Get on Da Mic. Not sure how they would do it though.

There's a quote out there saying they used that game as an example of what they didn't want to do.

Well, it's officially rated T for Teen. I'm officially rating it an F for Fail. You don't make a rap karaoke game and use radio edits.

I'll probably just do what I do on Rock Band and change up the lyrics on my own to include whatever profanity belongs in there. I'm always singing the f-bomb version in Radiohead's "Creep", for instance. Unless the game engine can catch that sort of thing and hurt your score...

No, they did confirm players don't get penalized for using the real lyrics.

Is the microphone wireless? The bundle might be worthwhile if I can get a wireless mic out of the deal.

No, from what I read is wired.

- You're All I Need/I'll Be There For You by Method Man (Featuring Mary J. Blige)
- Hate Me Now by Nas (Featuring Diddy)
- Hot In Herre by Nelly
- Fight The Power by Public Enemy
- It's Goin' Down by Yung Joc (Featuring Nitti)
- A Tribe Called Quest's Scenario
- Big Pun featuring Joe with Still Not A Player
- Jim Jones' We Fly High
- LL Cool J's Mama Said Knock You Out
- Ludacris' Stand Up
- Onyx's Slam
- RUN DMC's Run's House
- Biz Markie, "Just A Friend"
- Drake, "Best I Ever Had"
- Ice Cube, "It Was A Good Day"
- Outkast, "So Fresh & So Clean"
- Pete Rock & CL Smooth, "TROY"
- Redman & Method Man, "Da Rockwilder"
- Salt N Pepa, "Push It"
