The cradles are up for order but almost hidden. You actually have to click the "get games and rewards" button and then they show up. I don't know why they don't have a link on the homepage instead of the old advertisement saying 10/31.

EDIT: Just got my red one.....took me 3 tries to get the order to go through without an "unexpected error".

Holy cow, they are all gone already. It would be interesting to see how many they actually had...

Has no one mentioned that the Zelda 3DS is available for preorder from GS and I believe Best Buy? It comes out on the 22nd, same day as my Xbox!

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I sure fucking hope so. I've wanted a cradle for my XL forever...and I'd rather use Club Nintendo points than money if I can help it. I woke up early this morning hoping I could snag one and then once I got the time to check at work...it was sold out for quite a while already.

My yellow one came today. It's a bright yellow-orange hue and looks kind of funny with the red 3DS XL, like a mismatched pair of socks. In any case, it works fine and beggars can't be choosers. Glad I was able to at least get one.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I got my blue charger the other day. I'm not liking that it's not the same shade of blue as my 3DS XL, but I'll live. At least I have one now.

Yeah, I love that new commercial. I instantly thought of the old school commercials. That's a good thing to me.

I didn't even know Mole Mania was on the VC. I haven't played that game in YEARS. Loved it back then.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I got my red dock the other day and it matches well.

I am really looking forward to A Link Between Worlds. I had to cancel my PS4 pre-order so I'm using Zelda to make myself feel better.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Alright, screw all of this PS4 talk I've been involved in all day. Here is what really matters. Game Informer just scored the sequel to what very well be my favorite video game of all time, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, a perfect 10/10. Here are the details from a poster over at GAF...

  • Heart piece puzzles are still clever despite having access to all the items whenever you want
  • No more map items to grab in dungeons, layout is shown right away; doesn't dumb down the experience
  • Seemed to really love the turning-Link-into-a-drawing mechanic; says it forces you to look at the entire game from a different point of view instead of just solving puzzles and moving on
  • "As if some of the best dungeons in Zelda history weren't enough, they typically end with some of the best bosses Link has ever encountered"
  • Some bosses return from LttP, most are brand new
  • Completely free to do dungeons in whatever order, no number system or NPCs that tell you where to go next
  • Freeing to wander the map and explore at your leisure
  • World map laid out in same manner as LttP, but not copy-paste job; lots of tweaks to aid traversal and exploration
  • "I wouldn't change anything about this game"

Edit: oh yeah 10/10
They concluded with the following...

I want to let the experience roll around in my brain for a while before I decide where it ranks among the best entries in the franchise, but I can say with confidence that it should be spoken in the same breath as A Link to the Past. In every way, A Link Between Worlds is exactly what you want out of a Zelda game.

I could cry. A Link to the Past is easily my favorite Zelda game. I am beyond excited.

Mine too. Can't wait.

Just wish it could be played on my tv. Forgive me if this is ignorant but is it possible that it could be a Wii U download in the future?

It wouldn't shock me. They've done it for, what, two or three 3DS games now?

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I pre-ordered A Link Between Worlds from Amazon since I had a gift card....Amazon is happy to report that my item will ship by December 8. Not cool.

Why not pre-order it from Best Buy where you can get The Legend of Zelda : Oracle of Ages download code emailed to you with purchase? (and 20% discount for Gamer Club Unlocked members?)

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I have it pre-ordered from Gamestop, used store credit to pay the whole thing off. Don't know if there's any pre-order bonus from them.

Edit: Apparently it comes with a free download of Oracle of Seasons. Score!

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I just know that I'll end up breaking down and ordering it right from the 3DS. Same thing with 3D World, I just don't seem to be able to wait for Nintendo first party titles on the 3DS and Wii U.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I think I'm gonna go digital for most games now. By the time I want to trade most in I only get a few dollars anyway. Not worth the hassle. I just worry about speed. My internet is quick but always have problems with the slow servers.

I did Amazon since I had the gift card but I may have to cancel if they really aren't shipping it on release day. I'll just go digital instead.

I really like digital downloads on the 3DS ( I have Fire Emblem, Shin Megami Tensei IV and Pokemon Y digitally). It is more convenient on the go than cartridges and I never really loan out 3DS games like I do with home console games.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Is there a convenient method for re-downloading games if you get a new 3DS? Transferring data from my Wii to my Wii U was a PITA.
