On Black Friday, Old Navy will be giving away copies of NSMBU with any purchase of $40 or more. Kinda crazy that they are opening at Midnight now.

Wrong thread?

Still no sign of a BF 3ds xl package... Kmart ad has been leaked and they have nothing on a 3ds xl holiday package.

What's the best place to trade in my DSi XL? I'm assuming the most i'd get from it would be $40?

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Just got an email tonight from Gamestop with special Power Up Rewards trade in values this weekend(good through 11/11):

3DS: $75
DSi: $50
DSLite: $40

No mention of the DSiXL but that should give you an idea.

Best Buy is offering $26.

bleh no 3dsxl bundle at best buy on BF so it looks like the 3ds xl is just going to have the red and teal colors for now.

they're only worth like 40 bucks now? I'd buy one for $40 just to have a back up for when one of my kids breaks or losses theirs

Has Costco started carrying the 3DS XL yet? Because I won't upgrade until I can get a Costco one.

There is actually a pink 3DS XL that's only for sale on gilt.com. I have no idea what that site is or why they seemingly get an exclusive color, though; I thought they were just soliciting early, but I haven't seen anyone else say anything about carrying pink.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Now that the walmart ad has leaked, I am really surprised that the 3ds xl doesn't have a holiday bundle this year. I don't really want a teal or red 3dsxl.

Looks like Costco has stopped selling gaming consoles altogether and is almost entirely out of the games business. They carry Halo 4 and Just Dance 4, but that looked to be it. I think I should probably hang onto my regular 3DS for now until something starts to break on it, since I won't have an easy replacement plan after this one.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

So I ended up getting one of these bastards (blue XL), mostly since it was on sale at BB for $179.

Not a big fan of the interface - a lot of it feels unintuitive.
I'm mostly surprised how few "must have" games there are for this still.
I got New Super Mario 2, and thinking of getting the 3D Mario, but have heard too many mixed things to plunge; good or bad?

What are some of the better games (including DSi-ware)? I mostly like platformers.

Mario 3D Land is up there with Galaxy in terms of quality.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Check the Virtual Console for some old school goodness as well. Recently got back into Super Mario Bros 2, both the Japanese and the US versions. I hope Super Mario Bros 3 will be around the corner...

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I still have all those on, um, the SNES, GBA, Wii - don't need to give nintendo even more $ for stuff I've already bough multiple times.

I did get the Shanti downloadable game, and that seems like a very solid platformer.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Okay, so I'm playing Mario 3D Land and the game shuts off on me, telling me that the cartridge has been removed (it had NOT). So I had to power down and restart. Not a huge deal, but sorta' disconcerting, especially if it keeps happening - has that happened to anyone else?

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I've played the game for no telling how many hours and I've never had that happen to me. It's never happened to me playing anything on the 3DS actually, and I've never even heard that complaint before. It was likely just some weird random glitch.

Never had that happen to me. I've had my 3DS for a year now and use it pretty often. That's strange.

I've had it in my bag and the game before dislodged. Then that screen appears.

Anyone play Paper Mario: Sticker Star? Looking to scoop up a new handheld game, and this one piqued my interests a little.

I don't have it yet, but I asked for it for Christmas. Almost exclusively because of this gif...

Haha, it does look good. I'm just not so sure of the format, I have no experience with any of the Paper Mario games.
