Probably Doom(PC) then Halo(xbox). I'm sure I've played others in between those 2 but for the life of me I can't remember any of them.

I'm still not a huge fan of 1st person. I tolerate it more than I enjoy it.

Wolf 3D

Wasn't absolutely hooked on the genre though until Goldeneye.

Yeah, the "shareware" concept. It was preloaded on my first PC, and I was tranfixed when I started it up on a whim and saw the intro screen and heard the music. I played that, then the add-on, then the automatic level generator. Got burned out at that point, though.

Doom was next. Never played Quake. I went on to Civilization for Windows and some Diablo, then gave up games till I got my Xbox.

I think Wolfenstein for the Jaguar was my first.

Wolf 3D, then Doom 2.

Goldeneye 64. Never played games on my PC.

Marathon (MAC).

Wolf3D first FPS I played.

First multiplayer was either Duke Nukem 3d or Marathon. They had Marathon on the computers at uni so we played that instead of studying.

Wolfenstein 3D and DOOM.

As a senior in high school... I played a lot of Wol 3d..we installed it on all the computers, and they actually banned it from our school...but I would not say I was "hooked" Same thing with Goldeneye, I actually played it a lot, but it was not the game that pulled me away from RPG games...that title goes to Half Life 1....I played the shit out of that game, and when Half Life 2 came along, I was hooked on FPS.

Wolfenstein 3D. Never actually got to spend quality time with Doom until we got it on one of our consoles because our computer wasn't capable of running it.

Well i guess it depends how specific you are going to be by FPS. If you going literal then i guess Wolf 3D. However, before this i gueess Dungeon Master and Hired Guns on the Amiga were the first FPS. Hired Guns esepecially was close to a FPS, but it was one of those step forward one screen at a time things. Great game.

I am a massive FPS fan and for me the best have to be Counter Strike Souce, the Half Life series, Deux Ex, Unreal Tournament, No One Lives Forever 1 and 2, Farcry 1 and 2 and COD: MW: 1 and 2.

Wolfenstein 3D

Fallout 3, if that counts as an FPS. It introduced me, anyway. That led to things like Bioshock, and now I've actually worked my way up to Call of Duty 4, which is the type of game I wouldn't have even considered playing a few years ago.

Wolf 3D....that was great. Then I moved onto Doom. I think Doom was one of the first online games I played...good ol' dial-up back then.

I enjoyed lots of PC FPS back in the day. Hexen, Heretic, Doom/Doom II, duke Numem and Rise of the Triad. Probably more...but I forget

But then I played a ton of the usual suspects. I bought Catacomb 3D in 1991 and that title pretty much led to Wolfenstein 3D and Doom.

I still have zip disks (actually EZ Drive for those that remember) full of Doom and other FPS wad files.

I remember playing Wolfenstein 3D on a friends computer when I was younger. I played the first few levels from a shareware version of Doom years later. I must have played the same few levels 100 times.
