Im confused. I tried searching but couldnt find anything. Why are people posting all these songs and videos? Are we guessing what songs will end up on RB3? If so is it some kind of contest, what are the rules?

It's just a silly game for fun. A way for people to put forth formal guesses, keep converstaion alive, and maybe expose someone to new music or remind you of something you've forgotten.

The rules are pretty simple.

1) Pick 3 songs that have previously been unannounced (including Yes - Roundabout) or guessed by other players
2) Pick a tiebreaker guess of the number of overall correct guesses the group as a whole makes.
3) For a correct artist and song, you get 3 points.
4) For a correct artist but wrong song, you get 1 point.
5) Ties are broken by the closest to the actual correct number.

So I have this theory that when Guitar Hero has a lesser known song by a band in their new game, I assume Rock Band has a bigger hit by the same band in their upcoming game. Looking at the new Guitar Hero game's setlist I have a feeling we're finally going to be getting some Anthrax in the game. Hopefully Caught in a Mosh.

My keyboard-centric entries aren't too likely (at least 2/3 of them aren't), but why not? Harmonix folks are hip and the first two groups aren't averse to licensing their songs out (Carnival Cruises and Bacardi/"Community", respectively).

I'd be happy with any SW, but I really do like What Do I Have to Do. I realized after posting it that it might not be that fun to play though. Oh well, I'm staying with my original picks though (except the one I already changed, lol.)

I complained about the absence of SW during one of the many incarnations of "Where is my damn [fill in the blank], HMX?" I got my Huey Lewis from that list of demands so maybe SW will show up soon too.
