Been a Braves fan ever since I started cheering for them to beat Barry and Bobby Bo back in the early 90's... then I moved to Atlanta and went to about 15 games a year for six years at Turner Field. Braves count. Mark it eight, dude.

I'd be in as the Tigers... Honestly I'm not sure what kind of schedule I could stick to though.

Do we all have to be in each others friends list or is there another way we can start a league and get everyone on here in? I have never done a league with The Show as last year was the first time I bought it and played.

We shouldn't have to be on a friends' list. I wouldn't think anyway. In NHL10 someone sets up a private league and sends out the password. Teams join, pick their teams.

I may be interested, but I'll be completely new to the game, as I'm finally deciding to get it for the first time this year. I hope you can wait a few weeks, because I may not have it the first day (I'd rather not pay extra for release date shipping from Amazon). Since the Cardinals are taken, I'd like the Rays, but if someone else is a big fan I'll take another team.

It can be achieved by achieving Platinum status on the game, which means unlocking all of the game trophies.

The only thing that drives me crazy about The Show is lacking the ability to change the franchise length from 162 games. I simply don't have time to knock out one season, let alone a bunch at 162 games. I've tried to find out if they changed that option but struck out, has anybody else heard anything?

Ok, I'm back after having to go through a fiasco with getting my Sony RPTV repaired and you can read about it in the DVD & Home Theater Gear forum. I will go ahead and setup the league as soon as my copy arrives from Amazon and it should on the release date. Any suggestions on season length? I'm hoping to keep it a rather short but sweet season allowing us to at least play the other players in the same league at least once but not have to play the entire 162 game season. Let me know.

After seeing that Target and Fry's weren't going to have a special deal on this, and since their prices are crap, I ended up pre-ordering it at Amazon.
At least I'll get the stadiums before getting Platinum...

I was thinking that we could wait a week or so after release and then start the league. We could all just report back here and come to a consensus on the start date. I was thinking somewhere in the middle of March.

Had $75 in Reward Zone money, so just pre-ordered with instore pickup on Best Buy.com to get the extra downloadable ballparks. Cannot wait!

So how does the league work? Do we have to coordinate times to be online?(sorry for the noobness of my questions - I haven't played online much).
