Just remember to take things slow. Swapping your Elite 360 with some guy's Arcade model is sort of a big step in any relationship.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

I bought the family pack. My son moved out and recovered his gamertag on his own xbox. I just downloaded the cod black ops expansion pack. Does my son need to buy it too to put it on his xbox or can I share it somehow since he is in my family pack? I was thinking if he recovers his gamertag on my xbox he would be able to use it but what would happen when recovers his gamertag back on his xbox?

Just as you suspect, he won't have access to it if he didn't buy it or isn't playing it the xbox it was purchased on.

A mom adds her credit card to her son's Xbox Live account. Her son spends over £1,000

She should probably cut up her credit card to keep herself from doing other stupid things.

I don't even add a credit card to my own Live account. That way I actually think about my point card purchases or when I reup my Gold Subscription. I do entrust a credit card to my wife but she's very frugal except when she's buying me presents.

She does make a valid point about it being too easy to buy things off the service. I wish they'd add the option of requiring a password before completing purchases like they do on the PSN store and with itunes. There's no reason to make it this easy to make an accidental purchase -- unless that's their plan.

In preparation for Mortal Kombat I'm looking at fighting sticks. There's a few inexpensive ones out there, any recommendations?

The one that comes bundled with Tekken seems like a very good value and the wireless seems like a plus.

I'm a big fan of my Tekken 6 stick, and I didn't think I would be, as I'm more a fan of the competition style joysticks/buttons. But it's got a great feel to it, is wireless, and cheaper than most other sticks I've seen. I highly recommend it.

Thanks. For $59 plus a game I think I'll do it. I would love to have that Mortal Kombat stick but $150 is just too much.

Contest heads up (even though it's pretty prominent on the dash), you can win 1600 MS points and possibly a year of Live. Three chances to win. To qualify you have to play Kinect sports during certain time intervals:

Feb. 25-27
Mar. 25-27
April 22-24

Don't hold me to those dates though, I'm trying to recall it off the top of my head.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

anyone know if you can play House of the Dead III for xbox with a light gun on Xbox 360?

i saw that the game is compatible with 360, but couldn't find out if gun was usable as well.

i've all of a sudden had the urge to play a light gun game on 360 and wondering if anyone has this and it works...

thanks.

Won't work unless you have a CRT television.
