My XBox is on its way, but we'll be keeping it under wraps until Christmas. But in anticipation, I'm wondering:
1. What's the best place to track your achievements, stats, etc? I see a few people here have a 360voice tag. Is that the best?
2. What's the best forum that focuses on xbox info and games? I found http://www.xbox360achievements.org and it looks very active, but are there better ones out there? A google search yields way too many results.
3. Can I get my gamer tag now even though I haven't set up my 360 yet?

TrueAchievements is the best for tracking achievements since it's automatic. x360a.org is ok, but the lists are manual. They both have great guides and communities (TA is better though). Together, they cover everything.

360voice is pointless. If you're interested in tracking game time played, try raptr.com instead.

I think you can get your gamer tag now through xbox.com.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

Awesome, thank you. Yes, I want it to be automatic for sure, though it seems x360a is more active for individual games than TA. For instance, if you go to both their LEGO Star Wars forums, x360 has a ton of posts, TA has none.

How about mygamercard.net? Or is all that info just on xbox.com...? I'll have to go check.

Just noticed the extra 800 points in my xbox account for spending over 30 dollars on DLC in October. Should be good for the RB2 export.

WTF, so I log in to Xbox Live today, and I have this message awaiting me:

Followed by another message (which I foolishly deleted) saying how he makes $10k a month, and wants to promote for me.

I check out his friends list and it's filled with DVDTalkers. So which one of you freaks thinks I'm Jason Miller??

I do find it pretty hilarious because I listen to him on the Jason Ellis show and have seen his fights.

So he sends a message to everyone with Jason in their tag?

I don't have Jason in my tag!

I asked Jason Miller, and he has no idea why this guy would think I'm him.

Alex hosts Jeopardy, not Hollywood Squares.
