73 of 76 members of our group played that day. If you check the history, most of the time only 50% of the people play, even on weekends.

Any theories?

(Yeah, I'm bored)

 I'm one of the 3 losers. I got my xbox back on Jan. 17.

But all of us combined only got 70 points that day? It must have been a Netflix/1 Vs. 100 day.

What I want to know is what the hell Pixy was playing last (on 1/20).

Read again "...climbing by 45 achievements which is roughly 700 points..."

It was just a typo. Still, 700 points over 70+ people is kinda lame.

I don't even remember playing that day since I was out of town until about 10pm. Probably fired up some Borderlands.

Oh, you mean 虫姫さまふたり? I figured everyone knew that game by now. Sure, it's no 凍える海の海獣, but at least it's not a piece of crap like 立ちはだかる恐獣. Ugh, now that was a terrible game, am I right?

Got an email from Xbox Live saying that if you buy 1000 points, you get 400 free. Here's the fine print though...

Offer good only for named recipient of this e-mail with Xbox LIVE Marketplace offer from Microsoft. Limit: one (1) gift per account. To qualify for your gift, you must purchase the 1000 points (or more) from Xbox LIVE Marketplace or redeem a retail Pre-paid card of 1600 Microsoft points (or more) in a single transaction during the promotion period (January 22, 2010–February 5, 2010). Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States (includes Washington, D.C.). This offer is nontransferable. This offer expires on February 5, 2010, while supplies last, and is not redeemable for cash. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the promotion period ends for direct deposit of your gift to your account and we'll send you an In-Dash message to let you know your points have been applied to your account. Not combinable with other Microsoft offers or rebates.

That sounds like a great deal. I hope it's not one of those deals they offer for a few select folks only, but it seems like it is.

I got a email in December that said if you download The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC now you will save 400pts. I never got my 400pts and the fine print said 4-6 wks till they deposited the points in my account.

Anyone else having problems with live? I wanted to download Serious Sam and I kept getting the following message:

Cant retrieve information from XBOX live. Pleasse try again later.

Status code: 807b01f7

-It does the same thing for every game on the marketplace.

I had an odd problem last night. I went through the Serious Sam demo and proceeded to 'unlock' the game which is, as everyone knows, instantaneous. Not last night. It proceeded to act like I was downloading the latest PS3 firmware on dial-up. Took about 5 minutes to get to 3% complete.

Same thing happened to me earlier with Serious Sam. Thinking it was a bad file, I deleted the demo and now have to re-download

RROD question: I figured I will go ahead and ask this question but I am afraid I already know the answer. They sent a sheet stating that I have to go back to Account Management and go into the Download History, select an item and then hit Download Again. It says to do this for every item in your history.

I have 600 fucking items in my Download History! I had no idea I had that much but is there an easier way of going thru this stuff? And does this DLC history include everything I have ever downloaded but also deleted?

Please tell me there is an easier way of going thru this crap. Pretty please.

Yup, it's everything (except a few that have been pulled like Yaris). Yup, you'll have to do everything individually. Yup, it's a pain in the ass, but going online to www.xbox.com and checking your account history there, you can select up to 20-30 items at a time to queue up and it goes a little faster.

There are 600 in your history, but that is everything. You only need to "re-download" games and DLC. Don't bother with demos, themes, gamerpics, etc. That should at least cut your list in half, if not more.

Sorry to throw a monkey wrench in this game talk but I've got a question about the "Transfer Kit" moving data from existing HD to a new one.

Does MS send one out "Free" only if you buy a new drive only or can you get one buying a used one?
