And the start of the college football season might have been nice time to start streaming ESPN3 on Xbox LIVE. Just saying.

Just won 400 points from Ford! Finally.
Thanks, TL... I mean, Ford. Glad some other people are winning out there! |

Hey, just won another 400 from Ford. I guess that answers my question as to whether or not you can twice. So right now I'm at 800 from Ford and 400 from JCP from this current batch of text-to-wins. Gotta love these free point contests.

Nice, TL - time to get back on the ford wagon!

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
TTW stuff. JCP has stopped working for me. Has theevent stopped working for anyone?
It's stopped working for me as well and yet it still works on my gf's phone. So I'm not quite sure what's going on there. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Theevent and Fiesta worked for me this morning. I didn't get a reply for JCP today.
|
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
I actually just got a flood of responses from theevent. One saying I'm entered, the other 4 saying I already entered today. The response took over 9 hours. That's quite a lag.

That's 800 won. Now if NBC would come through with something. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Yay! Just got a new Xbox 360S 250GB blah blah blah for $225 off Amazon Warehouse Deals. Apparently they've gone as low as $160 but I feel happy getting it for $225. I can probably sell my 120gb other one for $150(ish). Only thing left is getting Kinect from Warehouse deals when it comes out.

No, usually it's returned items - often where the packaging was destroyed or maybe some minor part is missing. Many people who have ordered consoles have reported damaged packaging, but a perfectly brand new console inside.
|
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
They typically are eligible for warranty as long as someone didn't get it, register it and then return it. to that end, a lot of them aren't returned but are damaged in shipment and deemed unsellable at retail. As Daryl said, while there are some bad eggs, a lot of people do report brand new Wiis, 360s, PS3s, PSPs, video games and so on, encased in damaged packaging.
The good thing is you still have Amazon's 30 day return policy. So if you turn it on and it doesn't work: return it. If you turn it on and it does work, but someone has registered under their name: return it. And so on... |

360 warranties are transferable, so even if someone registered the console, it is under warranty from MS.

Follows the console.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Cool. Thanks again.
Here's another question. I haven't decided if I want to transfer all my licenses to the new console I'm getting as I may get a different console at the end of the year (if there is a holiday/kinect bundle for cheap.) But I'm also planning on selling my current arcade unit. Do I have to have my original in possession to do the license transfer? My assumption is no, but I just wanted to double-check. |
