Don't worry, it'll be on sale again. At least a few weeks before Block Party Twenty-Oh-Eleven!

I got the text today too--and then right after I redeemed it realized I should have taken TLwizard up on his offer the other day for a Toy Soldiers code for an 800-point code. Oh well. Thanks.

Awesome. Now I don't feel like I'm as much of a dipshit as I did before.

I won 800 points last night too. Can you win more than one code from the same phone?

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
The wife was able to score an X-Box arcade through some deal because I had mentioned how I sorta regretted selling off our original X-Box. But my understanding is that the Arcade model doesn't have a hard-drive which is necessary to download the patches needed to play original Xbox games on the 360. Are we basically getting a doorstop?
Not to mention we hardly have time to play our PS3, Wii, DS and all our other older systems, if it's going to take much effort to get up and running on this thing, it's just going straight to Craigslist. thanks in advance for any suggestions.... |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
It shouldn't be hard at all to find a separate hard drive to attach to an Arcade. Many people are selling theirs for a larger model or to get the new 360 with the internal one. You can check at Game Stop since many have turned them in for an upgrade or try your luck on ebay.

Just to be clear, it has to be the X-Box brand hard drive right? You can't do an off the shelf like the PS3? thank you |

Anyone else get an email with a free 400 pts?

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Just sent in my Arcade (HDMI) unit to get it repaired. This will be my fifth 360 since launch. Can say honestly I'm not very happy with MS at the moment. Surprisingly when I received my unit back it was a Brand NEW PRO. While I am disappointed that I had to be without my XBOX I am very happy that they upgraded me. Hopefully this one lasts for longer than a year and a half.

Apparently you can also text "GM" to 74139 as well for a possible 400 points. This is the same number as shot3, so don't know how they affect one another.
(A few reports have trickled in of people winning 400 points from texting "GM" to 75920 as well.) |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Woo-hoo, I just won 800 points!

No problem, once 5% of my winnings adds up to 4000 points (my minimum payout) I'll send it your way!

I received messages saying something to the effect of "sorry, we could not understand your message" after texting GM to both of those numbers just now. They both worked just fine the last couple of days.

I've got an extra Toy Story 3 free movie ticket code, if anyone wants to trade a 360-related code for it.

<s>Looks like the first Alan Wake DLC is up two weeks early: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/ga...0805?cid=SLink
As far as I can tell it's currently free for everyone. I thought you had to have the code in the new copy of the retail game. Queue it up now and ask questions later since it's probably a mistake that'll be fixed soon. I'm posting this here in case you're interested in the game in the future but you may not visit the thread.</s> Just a teaser video. Too early in the morning for me to be fact-checking other sites' content. |
