ok.. so UPS dropped off my replacement elite a little bit ago.. so far, cant tell if its new or refurb.. so my guess is refurb

anything i need to do, other than just sticking my harddrive back on and going? everything seems to be back to exactly how it was already.

First go to http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/sy...ensemigration/ and tell it to transfer your licenses to the new box.

Once you've done all that, go to http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/my...seHistory.aspx and begin adding your purchases to your download queue. This will update all the licenses on your hdd so you can use the content offline again.

...and have your xbox on while you are doing it.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

...the second part, that is. It's ok. The first part makes you turn on your xbox so that's sort of implied. Make sure you're on the "Active Downloads" page on the dashboard, though, because I think the queue is capped at 20 items.

I don't think that's all necessary. According to your first link:

Note that if you received your new Xbox 360 as the result of a refurbishment or repair, the licenses have already been transferred as part of the repair process.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

I got that note too, but it was necessary for me.

Ok, step 0:
Turn on your xbox with your network disconnected and see if you can use your crap.

Step -1:
I'm sorry I tried to help.

Yeah, that note is BS. I had to do all mine with my refurb as well.

I wasn't criticizing you, I was just regurgitating what I read on the site.

And Trevor.. You obviously don't play Rock Band or XBLA stuff.

I do play all the band games, I just don't download songs, but buy all the discs when they go clearance. And I play a lot of the XBLA demos, but have only bought four full games so far. But yes, not your typical VGTalk member.

ok.. so after playing with the replacement a bit.. one thing ive noticed

when i hit the power button.. it doesnt move, doesnt depress... it powers on fine, and hit it again, it goes right back off.. but it doesnt move at all

i could have swore with my old one.. when i pressed the button.. it went in to come on.. then i hit it again and it came out some to go off..

was that changed.. or is that just in my head?

Summary of the above post: twikoff is telling us that when he used to play with it, it would pop up. But now when he plays with it it doesn't move at all.

Son of a !?@^!*!!

My console shipped out on Wednesday. Wednesday! Two days ago! Do you know when UPS.com says it's scheduled to be delivered? Next Wednesday! A full week after it shipped! How is that even possible? I think you need to pay UPS extra to have them take that long to make a delivery. Come on! I live in Chicago, for crying out loud! It's not like you're shipping the damned console to Upper Volta! Of course not -- I think it would only take six days to ship an XBox to Upper Volta.

You did this somehow, twikoff, didn't you?

Congrats. There's some kind of glitch with the system. It's telling me that I already won the 800pts and can't win anymore. However, they never sent me any points! A lot of other people are apparently having this problem, but I'm glad that some people are winning!

I don't know why I just realized that I could start using my gf's phone to try and score some points since mine glitched out.
