I wonder if they'll be as agressive killing copyright infringed content as they were in LBP. I'm guessing they will.

I played the demo track a couple of times before Warhawk last night, and I'm not finding the controls terribly intuitive. Specifically, the "drift button" is an odd implementation, and the weapons seem less usable than say Mario Kart or Wipeout.

I'll give it some time, but I was generally disappointed with the controls in the demo.

I had a hard time with the controls initially and always sorta forgot which button did what. But I also think I'm trapped in the mindset of Mario Kart and what I "feel" from playing that. This game is a much different beast with a lot more potential. And I also remember the first time playing Mario Kart getting creamed because I could not get the controls down.

My daughter is dying for me to get this game (more virtual dressup for her I guess) I'll have to let her try the demo out to see if she likes it.

I played some more last night, and while I'm still not quite comfortable with the controls, I'm warming up to them. The drifting actually feels cool in that you can hold it for a bit and countersteer even after a turn, and I just started playing with the "bump" mechanic, which is pretty awesome.

I'm still not finding the weapons terribly useful though. They seem overly complicated with the leveling up, and it's not yet clear to me when/how to use them. Maybe over time, I'll settle in.

Love the shield/boost meter mechanic.

Looking forward to playing with some of the Warhawk clan. Could be a great time!

So did anyone try this out yet? I got my copy but didn't play last night. I noticed that they have their own version of "Project $10" by giving you a DLC code for a Sackboy mod. That, plus Ratchet & Clank (from Amazon puchase) and Drake (from refundable Best Buy preorder) should make for a nice stable of characters to start with. Oh yeah, and Kevin Butler.

I'll be off to pick up my copy today courtesy of the Best Buy RZ text message deal. With a $50 GC and RZ coupon, I should be able to pick up both the LBP GOTY and ModNation for $10+ tax.

There's Gopher Kart, Cowboy Kart, Lil' Tinker and Mouse Trap Kart. Each one gives you additional building materials.

Best Buy gives you Sackboy and cart. Don't know if there's anything else to go along with that.

Everyone gets Sackboy download code with new game purchase. Best Buy gave a code for Nathan Drake, his kart and apparently a bonus mod which I forgot about when you put down $5 to preorder the game.

Good to know. I asked the guy that was in games if there was anything else for the pre-order and he just pointed to the sticker on the box. Meh. I didn't know anything about the Nathan Drake. Oh well.

If you pre-ordered at the store, the box they use to ring up the pre-order had the voucher inside with the Nathan Drake download code.

Also, I just spent the past four or so hours playing this with my girlfriend and her brother and have been having a blast!

Nevermind, it was with ratchet and Clank, I got the cowboy.

I'm liking it so far. Gotta love a PS3 exclusive that features a game world hub with a gorgeous towering Mario overlooking it. I wonder how long that stays up before it's removed?
I don't think the load times were quite as bad as mentioned in the reviews, but maybe it got patched already. In true PSN-fashion, I kept getting disconnected from the servers tonight. Hope they can patch that up.

If somebody wants to trade their Ratchet and Clank for my Nathan Drake, my girlfriend would be much obliged!

Loving the career mode as well. Everyone in my family (ok, girlfriend's family) has been having a blast building mods, karts and tracks.

Anyone have any recommendations on Mods, Karts, or Tracks to download? The top 3 shown in the ModSpot when you sign in haven't changed since the day I got the game, so it's not very helpful to see good new mods.
