Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

I remember seeing the different versions of Batman, but I don't think anyone has posted Robin yet.

Robin, Assassin's Creed Robin, S&M Robin.

As for Batman, don't know how he ended up a Green Lantern at any point. He was part of the White Lantern corps for about two seconds along with everyone else fighting the Black Lantern.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

The link says its a Sinestro Corps Yellow Lantern suit. As for the Robins, I recognize Red Robin and TAS Robin, but where is the middle one from?

I wish all of these suits were all unlockables like the suits in Spiderman Shattered Dimensions, but I'll probably buy them anyway if they're cheap enough.

yeah, if you read the article, it appears he's going to be a yellow lantern, not a green lantern.

It's a PS3 exclusive, which means it's on the blu disc itself I guess.

The middle Robin might be a take on the Damian version aka Batman's son when he took the mantle...he was Talia's son as well. Though..from what I see...Damian had a different look. Could be...I dunno.

Also the 3rd Robin (on the right of course) is the Batman TAS version.

How do you expect me to make snap judgements if I have to stop and read everything?

That is the variant cover to Green Lantern volume 4 #9 from '06, not '08. The actual story isn't as exciting as the cover suggests. (When are they ever?) Hal lets Bruce try on a ring, but in the end Bruce doesn't want to give up his inner demons and takes if off.

That is what it looks like...still...a different design of him I've never seen. The cape part needs to be longer...

That was what Damian looked like as Robin when he was first introduced in the Batman & Son arc in 2006 up until Bruce died in Final Crisis in 2009. Then when Dick became Batman, Damian changed outfits. Now he looks like this:

You're in the minority with that opinion.

Just watched the Mr. Freeze trailer. Looks like it's shaping up to be better than AA.

But you don't like good things, so that makes sense.

It was pretty much the best videogame playground ever created, along with a fantastic box of toys to exploit the playground with.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

So I haven't really been keeping up on this, but with it coming out this month maybe someone knows: Is there going to be exclusive content on the PS3 again or should I just get it on the 360?

Nevermind, I'm looking at the Arkham City forums on the official site and it looks like it's going to be pre-order exclusives determined by which retailer you use, and not which console you choose. I'm getting mine from Amazon, so I get a $10 GC and a comic book. No skins or characters or anything. Oh well, I'll get it on the 360 and buy the skins as DLC later.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

I think this is a list of the preorder bonus for the game:

* Amazon: $10 promotional credit, and exclusive Batman: Arkham City comic (with Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions only).

* Gamestop: exclusive Joker’s Carnival challenge map (reported 4 hours of gameplay), and a digital copy of Batman: Gotham Knight anime movie.

* BestBuy: exclusive Robin character with his own unique gadgets and moves. Playable in all challenge maps of the game, including two additional maps that are only available with Best Buy preorders (Black Mask Hideout and Freight Train Escape).

* Newegg: free Batman t-shirt with console versions of the game.

* Walmart: $10 eGift card and a free copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum with console versions of the game.

Here in Canada, Future Shop is offering a steelbook along with a Dark Knight Returns skin DLC.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

That version of Arkham Asylum that's for the Wal-Mart exclusive is the Game of the Year edition as well.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

Weird choice by Wal*Mart. I mean how many people that are getting this game wouldn't already have the first one?

I just looked on Steam, and they don't even have a page up yet for Arkham City.

Doesn't that still leave a LOT of Batman skins unaccounted for?
