Yeah, that blows... oh well. Time to get a high score I'll never beat, lol.

Sounds like Pack 4 should be up in a week or two, according to some random guy on their Facebook page.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Got Best Buy's @Gamer magazine in the mail today (the September issue). Intentionally or not, they revealed the Popcap table in their reviews section. I'll spoilerize it in case anyone wants to be surprised (weirdos).

Spoiler:
Plants vs. Zombies Pinball. $3. 9/4/12 on PSN and 9/5/12 on 360. They gave it a 4.5/5 rating.

Edit: This site has a screencap if you're curious (a shitty screencap, but still...) http://www.snapturtle.com/wp/2012/08...-table-is-pvz/

Yup. And more importantly, so is the free Zen Pinball 2 upgrade, new trophies, improved physics and especially, free Vita Cross Play. I bought a new memory card to make sure I have enough memory for the game and all the tables (1 GB total, they estimate)

Nice, i'll have to upgrade my Zen tables, and if it wasn't for the fucked up cost pick up another vita card.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I concur. The 32 GB would be nice, and it's "dropped" to $71.99 on Amazon, but I didn't want to spend even that much on a Vita card, so I found this site on Google Shopping where I bought a 16 GB card for $39.99 shipped (33% off MSRP). Can't totally vouch for the site yet, but they shipped the card extremely quickly via USPS with tracking number and figure I'm safely protected by Google Wallet.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Looks like a couple of PBFX2 table packs are half-price right now:

Marvel: Vengeance and Virtue - 400 (was 800)

Pinball FX2 Core (Full) - 400 (was 800)

No idea if this is a daily or weekly sale, or a permanent drop, so I'd buy now just to be safe. . .

This is part of their "Back to School" sale, which is rather large. Pretty sure this one's going all week.

V&V is part of the Back to School sale. I didn't notice Core in that list, but it might be temporary too, even though it could use a price drop by now.

Just a few more hours....

Any other Pinball FX2 fans think that robot in the back of the table seems awfully familiar?

Only got to do one run through on the PvZ table last night, but it was awesome. So well done as per the usual.

Yeah, it totally looks like Dr. Zomboss from PvZ!

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

After waiting all day for the Store Update, I was finally able to download Zen Pinball. Just got to try PvZ for a minute on the Vita -- It's SOOOOO good. Bright screen. Great physics. Perfect controls. It's really a reason to get a Vita; the ZP2 game turned out that good. Really puts the semi-low-rez Pinball Arcade to shame (and that's a perfectly functional Vita game, just nothing like this). So excited to have my 16 tables on this system. Thinking seriously about re-buying Captain America and Epic Quest for the third time each (have them both on the iPad as well) just to get them on this system.

BTW :Fantastic Four didn't make the ZP2 launch. Don't know why but the guy for Zen had said weeks ago that was going to be a possibility

Don't say this, I've been considering getting the Assassin's Creed bundle at the end of October. I need people to tell me how awful the Zen port is on the Vita.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Well, I did encounter a glitch in El Dorado where the ball got stuck and I had to quit the game. And the smaller screen makes the LED screen hard to read.
But overall it's a hell of an impressive port, right down to the seven (!) camera views you can select on the fly -- and that's not counting the full-table portrait view (which is too small for my taste and pointless since you don't use the wonderful Vita shoulder buttons).

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

In some of the most unfortunate timing seen since a hurricane bore down onto New Orleans during the Republican National Convention (which, admittedly, was only last week), the good folks at FarSight chose today as the day they finally released add-on pack 3 (Gorgar and Monster Bash). Consider your thunder sufficiently stolen.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I hate to say it, but that Plants v. Zombies table is dull as hell. It's one of the first recent FX2 tables where I thought to myself "I could keep playing, but I'm just going to let the ball drain and play something else."

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I fired it up and ended up getting like 4 extra balls on my first and only game so far. Is that normal?

It's very generous with extra balls, and the center drain is very narrow. I think I played for 15-20 minutes on the first ball, got the achievement and was like "Well, meh."

Yeah, it's kind of stupid how easy it is to get extra balls. I didn't get my high score doing anything too impressive, it was just the culmination of about 10 multiball's and like 8 extra balls.
