Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
I kicked in my 10 bucks.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Good, that's effectively $5 per table which is barely above the $3 launch price (MSP/PSN point discounts nonwithstanding). That argument is pretty much dead now.
I shudder to think what I'd do if they add a tier or two in between $100 and $500. |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Fuck it, I'll kick in $10.

They're already up to their biggest day since opening weekend. Not sure it'll get to $110k even after the 360 and ST:TNG matching program, but it's as good of a chance as it'll ever have. Some people are bitching that they want two separate Kickstarters so they can put $10 here and $10 there. Me, I'm finding the $100 tier to be the sweet spot since I'll get both tables on every platform. For "$50 for each table", I'll get it everywhere I care about and will be able to donate (to charity! ;)) the other tables and feel good about myself. You won't be able to do that on two separate KSs. If they did that, I'd still be at $25 on TTZ and either $10 or $25 on STTNG. So I'm really only paying double or triple what I would have but getting a ton more out of it this way. |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
In one refresh, it jumped up $3,000 to break the original threshold. No idea if that's a joke or legit.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Wasn't this the same game we were complaining about the controls and how off it felt, and now people are throwing cash at them like it's rice at a wedding?
|
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
They still feel off, but it's something you can get used. What you can't get is real world tables digitized any other way.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I did not see it.
If you own the PHOF disc, and the PA for PS3, Is there any advantage or reason why you would choose to play either version of TOTAN over the other version? Any differences visual or physics wise-is one version "better" than the other? Same goes for BH-I don't play that table often, but I do have it on another platform somewhere.(don't remember at the moment) Is the PA version of that table superior to any other? Thanks in advance! |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Improved ball physics on the PA version. They claim that they're completely new versions of those recycled tables.
Honestly, I haven't played Williams HoF in so long that I can't appreciate much difference, but I'll take Far Sight at their word. |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Wonder if the exclusive TZ bal will be available to you ($25 tier level) if you pick the Xbox version since they just added it in as a platform choice?

Just a hunch. |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
I think the HOF version of TOTAN had a glitch with the harem multiball that has supposedly been fixed in the new one, but don't remember exactly what the issue was.

Marvel Pinball 3D for the 3DS:

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
FYI, Farsight has just added some incentives to kickstarter at the $20 and $40 levels. I had upped my support to $25 when the reach goal of ST:TNG was announced, now I'm tempted to go to $40.
As this is my first kickstarter experience, should I wait until the last few days to up my pledge, or just up it now? Basically, I would find both tables (and extras) worth $40, but there is the possibility that they won't make the reach goal, in which case I'd really rather not spend $40 for a single table (I'd be fine with the $25 though). |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Infinity Gauntlet. Description says it's confirmed for June 19th (PSN) and 20th (XBLA), though that's the first I'v heard of a date. It is straight from Zen, though!

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Still no word on the Avengers table though. Weird how they let that one slip so far past the movie's release date.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
They're part of the same package.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Unfortunately, Zen Pinball 2 has been delayed until the Summer, though. So if I want to play these tables on my Vita (I do) and don't want to pay for them twice (I don't), then I have to buy it for Marvel Pinball PSN DLC, which wouldn't be a terrible thing, but all the Leaderboards will be reset once ZP2 does get released. Not sure how they'll handle trophies for these tables either. It's not the end of the world, but a little disappointing that they couldn't release ZP2 simultaneously like they had planned.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Both The Avengers and Infinity Gauntlet (as well as World War Hulk and Fear Itself) will release next week together as part of The Avengers Chronicles 4-table pack.

Ouch! http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/106...-twilight-zone
The Twilight Zone and not-very-well-advertised-or-explained-ST:TNG campaign for TPA actually lost money yesterday! WHAT?! Granted it's not going to come anywhere near hitting the $110k "stretch goal", but this is a bad sign. I hope they don't somehow dip below the original $55k since they signed the licensing contract about a week ago even before funding. What a clusterfuck. |
Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
I don't understand what I'm supposed to be seeing. It looks like $152 was removed from the total, probably from a fraudulent credit card or two.

Can't be fraudulent credit cards yet because those won't be hit until the campaign is over, right? This website just tracks the daily progress and trends. |

The comments section is just a shining example of people who are unable to read and/or see conspiracy theories in everything.
