Here's a pic of my current lineup. I'm going to be doing some trimming soon though, I'll be getting rid of at least the Pinball 2000 games (Star Wars Episode 1/Revenge From Mars combo), and Time Machine:

I also installed the greatest mod ever on Tron:

It's fiber optic lighting for the ramps that react differently based on the gameplay. So they change colors depending on the mode you are in and what you are doing. It's super badass.

But dude, their subsidiary is the publisher of Super Juice Master 5000!

Yeah...

I don't understand why they don't just self-publish.

I'd love to see some Oculus Rift support in a pinball game. It would be a lot more work because the way I'm thinking of it, they'd have to render the entire room (since you'd be able to look around). But, it would largely solve the issue of perspective; you could look up to the top of the table and then look down close to the bumpers.

Maybe you'd even be in a room full of tables, and you could walk around to each one.

I've been trying to get those for what seems like forever. Pinbits never has them in stock :(. I was actually tempted to buy your STTNG, but put the $ toward the new ST instead.

After playing a bit at Disney, I'm really thinking of getting Avatar, too.

Well I'm glad I already own a BK2K, because that's going to be in Season 3:

Kicking off Season Three is the great Williams'® table Fish Tales™. Included in Season Three will be Whodunnit™, Junk Yard™, and Black Knight 2K™ just to name a few!
GREAT choices so far. Hopefully no Gottlieb garbage.

I used this plugin for Chrome called "Auto Refresh Plus" and set a watch for the "sold_out.gif" line in the html source, so when that went away, it alerted me. It took like 3 weeks before they were back in stock, but it seems like they've been restocking them every few days ever since.

I've only played Avatar a few times, but I wasn't a fan. It just felt too barebones and didn't have enough going on for me.

Some announcements from Zen today:

Zen Pinball 2 Hits North American PS4s on 12/24, Doctor Strange Out Today

+ Posted by Bobby Loertscher // Community Manager, Zen Studios

Hey everyone, Zen Studios here with a quick update: the release of Zen Pinball 2 on PS4 here in North America has been pushed ever-so-slightly, now releasing next Tuesday.

When you’re working on a new platform with a complicated game, there might be a few hiccups along the way. Everyone at Sony working behind the scenes to make our game releases possible have been incredible and very accommodating. We’re so lucky to have an incredible team (who probably rarely get thanked) making it possible for us to get our games in your hands!

If you need your Zen Pinball fix now, Doctor Strange is still releasing today on PS3 and Vita for $2.99 (and yes, it will be on PS4 next week).

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7322/1...9347777f_z.jpg

In advance of our PS4 release next week, we want to give you some detailed information about how the import process works. Please bookmark this post in case you need this information next week.

There are a few details that we really need you all to pay close attention to so you have a smooth transition from PS3 to PS4. As you may have read in the announcement post, if you bought the tables coming to PS4 in Zen Pinball 2 on PS3 or PS Vita, you can import those to Zen Pinball 2 on PS4 at no charge. Here are more details on how that works:

The tables can only import from Zen Pinball 2 > Zen Pinball 2. You cannot import from Marvel Pinball or Star Wars Pinball on PS3 > Zen Pinball 2 on PS4. You CAN import from Marvel or Star Wars Pinball on PS3 > Zen Pinball 2 on PS3 and then > PS4.
There is no going backwards from PS4 > PS3. If you want to play the tables on PS3 in the future, we suggest you buy them on PS3 first and then import to PS4.
For those of you who downloaded any of the applicable tables via PS+, you can import to PS4 just the same. However, if your PS+ account expires, you will lose access to the content.

The actual import process is pretty easy, but here is a step by step walkthrough that you can reference if you encounter any issues:

Press the square button (Import Tables) on the collection screen to start the import process
Please wait while the game is searching for tables available for import
If there are tables available to import, the store will offer the next batch of content it has found. Press the x button (Enter) on each offered content’s download icon to add them to downloads, then press the circle button (Back) to return to the collection screen, and if there are still tables to import, the store will offer them in the next batch. Repeat this process until all content is added to the download queue.
Alternatively, if you want to import just a specific table, you can go to the table’s menu, wait a few seconds while the game checks for availability and press the “Download and play!” button when it appears. As the store comes up, press the x button (Enter) on each offered content’s download icon to add them to downloads, and press the circle button (Back) to return to the game.
Wait until all downloads finish (you can check their progress in the PS4 user interface under Notifications/Downloads), and there you go! You can play your imported tables straight away!

If you find the process is not working for you, we have posted a comprehensive FAQ in our forums and are standing by to answer your questions.

Discounts

We want to give players who own the PS3 and PS Vita content a discount on PS4. There have been some technical hurdles, but we’ve been able to work with PlayStation to implement a loyalty discount on PlayStation Store for the Season One Table Packs. Players who own all of the Season One tables can buy either of the Season One Packs for half price! We’re also giving 10% off of these Season Packs to PS Plus members for the next two weeks.

I'm not seeing a PS Plus discount on the regular Season 1 Bundle (Discounted) - $14.99

Decker 12-17-13 04:30 PM

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Yeah, same here. Trying to decide if it's worth $1.50 savings to wait until that gets fixed (if it even does). Feel like I should get that discount as well, but it's so little difference, it hardly seems worth complaining about.

Now re-reading that post above, I think they meant that they are giving 10% discounts to PS Plus members for the Season One Bundle and the Season One Pro Bundle (which is a totally worthless difference, BTW). I don't theink they were ever planning on giving 50% off AND 10% off discounts to PS Plus members who owned all Season One tables.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I would never wish for companies like EA or Activision to swoop in and devour smaller companies, but please, for the love of God, someone come along and take over Farsight and install some quality control.

I have the disc version of Pinball Arcade and the audio sounds like an AM radio being sent through a pair of tin cans tied together by string. It doesn't remember your room lighting settings. And you can't remap the controls. Fucking hell Farsight.

Decker 12-19-13 05:18 PM

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Yeah, the controls are idiotic -- you have to use the bumper buttons for the flippers, which aren't buttons designed for repeated continual tapping. Why on earth they ever wanted to make them rather than the triggers the flipper buttons I'll never know (let alone not even letting you remap them at all).

On Steam, the Star Wars: Balance of the Force pack for Pinball FX2 is currently 75% off, which I believe is the first time that pack has been on sale. Most everything else is 50% off.

Unfortunately, none of the Pinball Arcade stuff is on sale.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Zen Pinball 2 is now up for PS4 in the PSN Store. Sorcerer's Lair is the free table. They also have the 2 Star Wars Packs, Marvel Origin Pack, Avengers Chronicle pack, Epic Quest, Earth Defense, Paranormal, Plans vs Zombies. Not Dr Strange (as promised) though. Looking forward to see how these came out. TPA claims that these are simple ports while they did a total redesign for the PS4, so we shall see.
Speaking of TPA : They finally fixed the Season One Pro purchase option. You can now buy the S1 tables with the Pro Upgrade (including the special ST:TNG and TZ custom ball packs) for $19.99 if you already own all the S1 tables on PS3 (no longer need to own the Pro versions of S1 to get the Pro PS4 S1 discount). Still no 10% PS Plus discount though.

So basically you have to import everything into Zen Pinball on the PS3 first, then import that to the PS4?

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

So it took me over a full day, but I was finally able to import all my available PS3 Zen Pinball 2 tables over to the PS4. It does a search, finds each purchase individually and then has you buy it for $0.00. Then it shows the game, the table demo and the unlock key for each purchase you just made. You skip over the game (you already installed that) and click the button to download the other two. Rinse and repeat.
The tables look a little better on the PS4; you can see better details. It didn't strike me as a huge improvement, but I guess it didn't need to be as these are fantasy tables anyway. I think I'll need to go back-and-forth between the PS3 and PS4 to really confirm the difference. In any case, it's free and it's nice to have this "forward compatibility" so all my purchased tables will be playable for years to come. Now I just need to decide if I should re-buy the six or so tables that I bought on the 360 before the Vita came out - I might if they ever go on sale. Disappointing that Zen chose to bring over the boring PvZ table instead of the (promised above) brand-new Dr Strange table -- I played that a bit on the PS3 and though I know next-to-nothing about the character, thought it was a cool table (and now know who that weird alien thing is in my MvC3 DLC).

After they fixed their pricing issues, I went ahead and bought the Season 1 Pro Upgrade for Pinball Arcade on PS4. No need to go back-and-forth here. It looks way better and much more realistic than before. The level of detail is amazing. Lights cast realistic glow, chrome ramps shine, ball reflects all artwork. It's REALLY nice. Still don't know if the Pro Upgrade is really even worth the extra $5, but since it came with the custom balls I would have spent an extra $2 on, I figured why not?
Mapping the flippers to the bumper buttons instead of the triggers was so stupid. I don't know what the hell they were thinking. Apparently, that's going to be fixed in an update, but won't be for a couple of months still. Also, not a fan of the three table views offered. I default back to View 1 which is sort of like playing pinball with your chin resting on the table. It's amazing nobody has suggested a view from let's say a standing height over the table. Some folks on the Facebook page were complaining about the sound, but I think it sounded fine.

Dr Strange missed the store update for some reason, I think Zen said they're going to look into it as soon as possible. Probably tough to get in contact with the store people when the update is on Xmas Eve.

Check out this guys instructions:
http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/top...-elis-ramp-mod

I did like he did, pilot hole through the underside, then the bigger hole through the top. I did get a lot of burring though which I had to clean off. You might want to buy a drill bit specifically used for plastic, that should eliminate that issue. Removing the ramps is easy, just make sure you disconnect all of the connectors on the underside of the playfield.

Just take your time the first few holes, and you'll get it down after that. It really wasn't too bad. You'll probably find that you'll want to drill a few more holes after you run the wire because some spots it won't be flush against the ramp. Oh and be sure not to do any extreme bends with the wire, it will cause light bleed, and I think it's permanent.

Do you have any other games? Post up some pics of your setup!

Well shit. Can't figure out how to get the Balance of the Force tables to import.

Downloaded Zen on PS3. Imported BoF into that. Plays fine.
Hop on PS4, downloaded Zen. I try and import and all it shows is no import for BoF and BoF shows as $10 in the store.
