Hey, hey, they are just two broskis who want to participate in a little flipper action. ;) If you know what I mean.

Beat all the monsters last night - the board was all lit up telling me where to shoot for the final fight, and for the life of me I couldn't hit the Loot hole, ended up starting Bat mode and then drained my ball in the ramp frenzy that ensued. Son of a bitch.

Sucks, man. Got a tip for hitting the cave that many times or did you get the monsters through travelling?

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

No real tip, but just let the ball roll to the end of the flipper like you probably already are. I just made sure that was the one I always went for if given the chance, and I lucked out and nailed it about 30% of the time I tried.

May 4th is the movie launch. We have Cap, Thor, and Iron Man already. Group table is obvious, other than that it would have to go into non-movie mythos for anything interesting. That's out of my range.

Maybe a Hawkeye/Black Widow team up table? I'd like to see a team table lead by Fury calling the shots and such.

And of course, I'd be all up for them making an actually enjoyable Iron Man table.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Hawkeye would make sense for a pinball table with lots of targets.

I hope they're working on Vita versions of Zen Pinball. I'd happily pay for these tables a third time to get them on that portable (I did pass on the 3DS versions).

That back touchpad would be a sweet bump mechanic.

I like the list, even though I wasn't a big fan of Fear Itself, I think there's some interesting stuff that can be used on a table there.

Since I know nothing of comics, that pack means nothing to me without research :( Any of you nerds able to help a quick 3 sentence blurb for each? Thanks yo.

Been a while since I read some of these

World War Hulk - In Planet Hulk, Hulk banished to alien planet. Takes over the planet in a series of gladiator type fight then in WWH returns to Earth with the aliens for his revenge.

Infinity Gauntlet - Cosmic characters and Avengers trying to collect six gems that control the universe.

Fear Itself - Avengers vs Fear God that's trying to take over Asgard and then Earth if I remember right. Heroes were given special powers by Odin.

Civil War - Captain America team versus Iron Man team fighting about whether the heroes should have to register identifies with the government after kids are killed during a fight between superheroes and supervillains.

Cool - thanks. Those should make some good tables.

While I am excited to play real world pinball tables in this collection, I think my heart will still belong to Zen and PFX since their tables are much more interesting and dynamic in ways that, obviously, real tables can't be. I still wish they could merge these engines into one shell.

I love that they're doing a whole series of "Big Event" tables for Marvel. Kick ass!

Same here. I will buy some tables but I probably won't doubledip on anything that is in the Williams Collection that I have on disc.

Unless the engine blows me away.

edit: Some of the licensed tables would hook me. South Park, Star Trek: tNG, Addam's Family, or Star Wars. Those would be awesome real world tables to get.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I'm wondering now if the awesomeness that Zen has brought forth upon XBLA and PSN has totally diminished my appreciation for the historical accuracy and authenticity that Pinball Arcade is trying to produce. Sort of like how we Gen X kids first got interested in space by watching Star Wars, and then discovered that real-life space exploration was far less exciting.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

the physics seem off in that video. The ball bounces a lot off the flipper when trying to catch it, and then the shot slowly meanders its way up the table when shot. :(
