It's not a huge deal, but I couldn't find him again. I haven't played since you told me in this thread where he is. I will probably look later.

I'm nearly done with my first play through and this is without a doubt my game of the year. I've never been a big FPS fan, but I love this game. Gearbox took the things I loved about Half Life, Crackdown and Diablo and mixed them into the most fun I have had playing a game. The fact it is so great co op is the icing on the cake. I bought this, Batman AA and Modern Warfare 2 and as great as the other two are this is the game that has my full attention.

Can't wait to try the DLC.

It may in fact be my game of the year as well. The DLC is probably the best game add on I've ever played.

I'm still only up to about Level 21-23 on my first playthrough (set it aside to knock out Wolverine) but it's easily my GOTY also.

As of now for me the top 5 are

1:Borderlands
2:Assassins Creed 2
3:Batman
4:Dragon Age
5:Modern Warfare 2

I still have to play Uncharted 2 and Left 4 Dead 2...and there are a few more games to play coming out this month.... but nothing grabs me as GOTY material...but neither did Borderlands before it came out...and saboteur could be amazing..

I'll definitely be getting the DLC at some point. Maybe when there's a sale. Too much to play at the moment.

Re: Borderlands

As long as were ranking it... I really like it, but it just misses my top-10 list for the year.

1. New Super Mario Bros.
2. Uncharted 2
3. Ratchet & Clank: Crack in Time
4. Batman: AA
5. CoD: MW2
6. Assassin's Creed 2
7. Blaz Blue
8. Street Fighter IV
9. Shadow Complex
10. Killzone 2
11. Muramasa
12. Borderlands

I still don't get how it can "easily" be GOTY - it's fun, but nothing special.

I've only been able to spend small amounts of time each day with this game. Now that i have the week off I've played about three hours and really starting to enjoy it. I am kinda confused on one part
Spoiler:
Theres an ! point on the map. I go to the section and cant find him. I look up and see he's murdered hanging on the roof. Is there some kind of way to get him down or are there quests in that ! point?

Well...it didn't turn the gaming world on it's ear like Street Fighter IV did, but I think it can hold it's own. ;)

What's this "could be" bullshit?! ;)

I have high hopes for The Saboteur. Hope it can payoff the same way Borderlands has.

I would love for Saboteur to surprise me.

I would also easily put Borderlands in my top 5 choices for GotY. I just haven't decided my ordering for those top 5 yet.

my list is early..I am only 4 chapters into Uncharted and there are still about 4 games I need to play, but unless something blows me away I think Borderlands is safe...

Re: Borderlands

Beat Borderlands tonight and it was an amazing run to the finish. Liked the little unexpected moment at the last battle. Only need 3 more achievements so I will do a second playthrough and I will probably pick up the Zombie expansion this weekend.

My buddy and I finished the dlc tonight. Pretty good. Shorter than I was led to believe, but definitely worth the price of admission.

My favorite....

There was a suggestion to feature midgets attached to cables that other bandits could toss at you.

Played through most of Zombie Island and really loved it, but so far the achievements on it are glitched. So far two of them have failed to unlock for me, but they did unlock for the person I was playing co-op with. Sucks because this was a rare game where I could have gotten 100% of the achievements.

Which ones are they?

My buddy and I had no problems unlocking the achievements. Shouldn't be too hard to run through it again, maybe this time with you hosting it (I assuming you joined his game).

I have read a lot about glitchy achievements and it's not just about co-op hosting . I think some were fixed with a patch a couple weeks ago.

Re: Borderlands

Speaking of glitches...
In the second arena mission
Spoiler:
where there's three, increasing difficult battles - in Rust Commons East, I think - you have to "survive" the last round. We were playing offline co-op and one or both of us died in the last round. We respawned and went back in, the door shut, the music was still in battle mode, and the quest was still active. But there were no more baddies. So we couldn't finish the mission. This happened at least twice, maybe three times. We had to save/exit and reload the game in order to restart the mission.

Has that happened to anyone else?

Yep, happened to me too. I found both of the arenas to be extremely glitchy.

Re: Borderlands

God, the more I play the more of an unbalanced piece of shit this game is turning out to be. It has sections that are either too hard or to easy and almost nothing in between.
